RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTED PURSUANT
TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 2$0$ OF THE
"SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION LIMITA-
TION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF '1931 ",
DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, has heretofore received a communication dated Novem-
ber 2$, 1955, from the Health Officer of the County of Los Ange-
les (who also acts as Health Officer in the City of E1 Segundo
under an agreement with said County) recommending the construc-
tion of sanitary sewers in the Sepulveda Boulevard Sanitary Sewer
District which includes the sewers to be constructed in Illinois
Street, Pine Avenue and other streets, as shown on Plan No. 560324,
Sheets 5 to 9, inclusive; said communication being on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said City and to which reference is
hereby made for all particulars; and
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of said Council held
on the 14th day of December, 1955, said Clerk did cause the con-
tents of said communication from said Health Officer to be spread
in full upon the minutes of the said meeting; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered said com-
munication and the City Engineer has reported that plans and speci-
fications have been completed for the construction of a portion
of said sanitary sewer, as recommended in said communication;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SE-
GUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, FIND, DETERMINE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the improvement referred to in said
communication is for the construction of a sanitary sewer and ap-
purtenant work in connection therewith in portions of Holly Ave-
nue, Indiana Street, Grand Avenue, Sepulveda Boulevard, Illinois
Street and Pine Avenue. Said sewer construction is particularly
shown on said Plans and Profiles No. 560324, Sheets 5 to 9, inclu-
sive.

SECTION 2. That the said City Council does hereby find
and determine that the construction of said sanitary sewer and in-
cidental work in connection therewith is necessary as a health
measure and such necessity for such construction is found to exist.
SECTION 3. That this resolution is adopted under and
pursuant to the provisions of Section 280$ of the "Special Assess-
ment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 ",
Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali-
fornia, and the City Council in adopting the same intends to meet
each and every condition and to make each and every finding neces-
sary on its part in order to permit the proceedings for said sewer
improvement to go forward to completion without further reference
to or application of the provisions of said Division 4 of said
Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution by a vote of at least
four- fifths of all of the members of the City Council of said City;
shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said
City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof
in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said
City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed
and adopted.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of
the City Council of the said City is five; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 1635 , was passed and adopted
by the said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of
said City, and attested by the City Clerk of said City, all at a
regular meeting of the said Council held on the 9th day of July,
'1956, and that the same was so passed and adopted by a vote of at
