CC RESOLUTION 1624RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1624 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS IN- TENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION (SUBJECT TO THE RESERVATION AND EXCEPTION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS AND RIGHTS OF WAY) OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF COAST BOULEVARD WITHIN SAID CITY. The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, to order the vacation (sub- ject to the reservation and exception of easements and rights of way as set forth hereinafter) of a certain portion of Coast Boule- vard within said City, which is more particularly described as follows, to wit: Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Parcel 2, as per easement described in Book 43391, Page 354 of Official Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence South 25° 301 10t1 East 461.72 feet more or less to a point; thence along a curve to the right, tangent to the last named course with a radius of 5,056.76 feet for an arc distance of 198.58 feet to a point; thence South 230 151 1011 East 100 feet to a point in the Easterly line of existing Coast Boulevard as set forth in document recorded in Book 6833, Page 49 of Official Records of said Los An- geles County, California; thence Southerly along the East- erly line of said existing Coast Boulevard to the point of beginning. For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of said portion of said Coast Boulevard, reference is hereby made to a map, entitled "MAP SHOWING PORTION OF COAST BOULEVARD PROPOSED TO BE VACATED UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1424-1t, on file and open to public inspection in the office of the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo, California, in the City 'Iall of said City, located at 350 Main Street therein. - 1 - SECTION 2. The City Council dces hereby determine that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation of the easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in Sec- tion 8330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali- fornia, and these proceedings are taken, subject to such reserva- tions and exceptions. The easements and rights of way hereby reserved and excepted from the vacation are the following, to wit: The permanent easement and right at any time or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures, in, upon, over and across any street, or part, or portion thereof proposed to be va- cated hereby and pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and cther conveni- ent structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and lines for the transportation or distribution of electric energy, petroleum and its products, ammonia, water and incidental purposes, including access and the right to keep the property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the portion of the public street proposed to be vacated hereby. SECTION 3. That the hour of 7:00 o'clock P. M. (Cali- fornia Daylight Saving Time), on Monday, the 23rd day of July, 1956, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 350 Main Street, in said City, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said public street may - 2 - appear before said City Council and be heard and offer testimony and submit evidence in -relation thereto. SECTION 4. That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of El Segundo, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "NOTICE OF STREET VACATION (A PORTION OF COAST BOULEVARD) AND OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON ", to be posted as required by the said "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and the City Council of said City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said City and hereby designated for that purpose by the said City Council.
