RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED
IN RESOLUTION IF INTENTION NO. 1595•
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911", being
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali-
fornia, DOES RESOLVE as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require the
work hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said City
Council hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements
to be made in said city, to wit:
The grading and paving with asphaltic concrete, construc-
tion of cement concrete sidewalks, curbs and driveway approaches
or aprons, construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewer,
house connection sewers, and manhole, remove and replace existing
concrete footing and fence, remove and replace certain concrete
wall, sidewalks, curbs and driveway, remove existing, barricade
posts, reconstruct sewer manhole and lamphole to grade, and appur-
tenant work in connection therewith in Oak Avenue and Loma Vista
Street, all as more particularly described in Resolution of Inten-
tion No. 1595, passed and adopted by the City Council of said city
on the 9th day of April, 1956, and on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said city.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to
said Resolution of Intention No. 1595 and to the plans, profiles
and drawin;-.s No. 560322, Sheets 3 to 5, inclusive, and Standard
Street Drawing No. 550000, on file in the office of the City Engi-
neer of said City of El Segundo, and to the specifications for the
said work heretofore adopted by the said City Council and on file
in the office of the City Clerk of said city and all of said plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications heretofore approved by the

City Council of said city are incorporated herein and made a part
hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular
description of said work.
Said City Council has determined and declared that the
contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in the
opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary pub-
lic benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of the
said work chargeable upon a district. For the particular descrip-
tion of said district, reference is hereby made to said Resoluticn
of Intention No. 1595.
Said City Council has determined and declared that seri-
al bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per
annum and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the
second day of January next succeeding the next October 15th fol-
lowing their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided
by the "Improvement Act of 1911", being Part 5, Division 7 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to represent
each assessment of twenty -five dollars ($25.00) or more remaining
unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of recording the warrant.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried
through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State of
California, designated the '}Improvement Act of 1911 ". Division 7
of the Streets and Highways Code.
The Clerk of said city is hereby directed to post con-
spicuously for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the
City Council, in the manner and form required by said Code, a No-
tice Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein
ordered, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in
the "E1 Segundo Herald ", a weekly newspaper published and circu-
lated in said city and hereby designated by the said City Council
for that purpose, a notice inviting such proposals or bids for
doing the said work and referring to the specifications on file.

The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this resolution; shall enter the same in the Book of Resolu-
tions of said city, and shall make a minute of the adoption there-
of in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said
city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed
and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of May, 1956.

the City Council of said city is five; that the foregoing resolu-
tion, being Resolution No. 1606 , was duly passed and adopted by
the said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of said
City, and attested by the City Clerk, all at a regular meeting of
the said City Council held on the 14th day of May, 1956, and that
the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
