RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK
NO. 1589•
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE
WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
NO. 1587.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
pursuant to the provisions of the '*Improvement Act of 19110, be-
ing Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, DOES RESOLVE as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require the
work hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said
City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and
improvements to be made in said city, to wit:
The grading and paving with asphaltic concrete, con-
struction of cement concrete curbs, sidewalks and driveway ap-
proaches or aprons, removal and replacement of cement concrete
curbs and sidewalks and appurtenant work in connection therewith
in portions of Lomita Street and other streets and alleys, all
as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No.
1587, passed and adopted by the City Council of said city on the
27th day of February, 1956, and on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said city.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to
said Resolution of Intention No. 1587 and to the plans, profiles
and drawings No. 550102, Sheets 2 to 6, inclusive, and Standard
Street Drawing No. 550000, on file in the office of the City
Engineer of said City of E1 Segundo, and to the specifications
for the said work heretofore adopted by the said City Council
and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city and all
of said plans, profiles, drawings and specifications heretofore
approved by the City Council of said city are incorporated herein

and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for
a more particular description of said work.
Said City Council has determined and declared that the
contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in
the opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary
public benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses
of said work chargeable upon a district. For the particular de-
scription of said district, reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention No. 15$7.
Said City Council has determined and declared that
serial bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6 %)
per annum and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from
the second day of January next succeeding the next October 15th
following their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner
provided by the "Improvement Act of 1911*, being Part 5, Divi-
sion 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali-
fornia, to represent each assessment of twenty -five dollars
425.00) or more remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the
date of recording the warrant.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and car-
ried through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the
State of California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 ",
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code.
The Clerk of said city is hereby directed to post con-
spicuously for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the
City Council, in the manner and form required by said Code, a
Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work
herein ordered, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
twice in the "El Segundo Herald ", a weekly newspaper published
and circulated in said city and hereby designated by the said
City Council for that purpose, a notice inviting such proposals
or bids for doing the said work and referring to the specifications,
on file.

The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adop-
tion of this resolution; shall enter the same in the Book of
Resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of the adop-
tion thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Coun-
cil of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same
is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of March,
1956.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members
of the City Council of said city is five; that the foregoing re-
solution, being Resolution No. 11558g99 , was duly passed and adopted
by the said City Council, approved signed by the Mayor
of said city, and attested by the City Clerk, all at a regu-
lar meeting of the said City Council held on the 26th day of
March, 1956, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
