CC RESOLUTION 1585RESOLUTION NO. 1585 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A REGULAR GENERAL MU- NICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD Ld SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 10TH DAY OF APRIL, 1956, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES. WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relatin; to general law cities in the municipal election shall for the election of three City for the full term of for the full term of four City for the full term of State of California, a re,Tular general De held on the 10th day of April., 1956, members of the City Council of said four years; a City Clerk of said City years; and a City Treasurer of said four years; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SE- GUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DE'TERD'lINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the State of California relating to general law cities *within said State, there shall be, and there is hereby called and ordered, held in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, on Tuesday, the 10th day of April, 1956, a regular s;eneral municipal election of the qualified electors of said City for the purpose of electing; three members of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years; a City Clerk of said City for the full term of four years; and a City Treasurer of said City for the full term of four years. - 1 - SECTION 2. That the polls for said election shall be open at seven o'clock a.m. remain open continuously f of the same day, when said video in Sections 5734 and of California. SECTION 5. That of the day of said election, and shall rom said time until seven o'clock p.m. polls shall be closed except as pro - 5735 of the Elections Code of the State the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting, at which the same was passed and adopted.
