CC RESOLUTION 1551RESOLUTION NO. 1551 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, SELLING TO )MAJOR'S OFFICE EQUIPIEITT DISTRIBUTORS CERTAIN ITEMS OF USED FURNITURE NO LOTTGER NEEDED BY THE SAID CITY. XIEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Se- lundo, California, has heretofore in the manner provided by law, duly and re,;ularly advertised for bids under notice to bidders, entitled "NOTICE INVITING BIDS ON PURCHASE OF FURNITURE A;!D ON SALE OF FURNITURE ", dated the 27th day of July, 1955, which is now on file in the office of the City% Clerk, open to public inspection, and hereby referred to and by this reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, at the time for opening; and considerinE all of said bids, to wit: the hour of 7:00 o'clock P. M. on Wednesday, the 14th day of September, 1955, said Council did publicly open, examine and declare all bids received; and WHEREAS, at said hour said Council did take all of said bids under consideration lzntil the rerular raeetino- of said Council to be held October 13, 1955, and referred the same to Finance Com- missioner Gordon, City Administrative Officer Udall and City Ac- countant Wanderer for tabulation and report and recommendations; and 1,11IEREAS, said last mentioned date ' -as now arrived and the Administrative Officer has dt,1y reported to this Council with reference to all bids received arid after consideration of such report, the City Council feels that the action hereinafter taken is in the best interest of said City; HOW$ THEREFORE, THE CITY COUiQCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SE- GUNDO, CALIFORyIIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS: - 1 - SECTI01,1 1. "DATED THIS 13 DAY OF Telephone Number LU 72167 Sept., 1955 and which said bid was submitted in response to and under the terms, conditions, provisions and requirements set forth in said "NOTICE INVITING BIDS ON PURCHASE OF FURNITURE AND ON SALE OF FURNITURE ", be, and the same is, hereby accepted as to Items Nos. 1 to 4, both inclusive, and Items Nos. 6 to 10, both inclusive, of said. notice inviting bids at the prices set forth in said bid, which is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and which said bid so on file is hereby expressly referred to and by this refer- ence incorporated herein and made a part hereof for all further particulars. SECTION 2. That all bids received for said Items Nos. 1 to 4, both inclusive, and Items Nos. 6 to 10, both inclusive, are hereby rejected with the exception of the bid of MAJOR'S OFFICE EQUIPD/1ENT DISTRIBUTORS, hereinabove referred to, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to .return the checks of all un- successful bidders.
