A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VA-
CATION (SUBJECT TO THE RESERVATION AND EXCEP-
TION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS AND RIGHTS OF WAY)
OF THE PUBLIC ALLEYS IN BLOCK 29, EL SEGUNDO
TRACT, WITHIN SAID CITY, AS CONTEMPLATED BY
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1511 OF SAID CITY
COUNCIL ADOPTED ON THE 22ND DAY OF JUNE, 1955-
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
pursuant to the provisions of the *Street Vacation Act of 1941",
being Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, does hereby resolve, declare, find, determine and
order as follows:
SECTION 1. Said City Council, after public hearing
duly and regularly called, noticed and held, finds and determines
from all the evidence submitted, that the public alleys in Block
29, E1 Segundo Tract, within said City, described in Resolution
of Intention No. 1511 of said City Council, adopted by said City
Council on the 22nd day of June, 1955, are unnecessary for pre-
sent or prospective public street purposes.
SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience
require, and it is hereby ordered, subject to the reservations
and exceptions hereinafter set forth, that that certain public
alley which runs northerly and southerly through Block 29, El Se-
gundo Sheet No. 1, as shown on map recorded in Book 18, Page 69
of Maps, on file in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles
County, California, and that certain public alley which runs
easterly and westerly through said Block 29, as shown on said
map recorded as aforesaid, be and the same are hereby closed up,
vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, all as contem-
plated by Resolution No. 1511, of the City Council of the City of

E1 Segundo, California, adopted by said City Council on the 22nd
day of June, 1955•
Reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention
No. 1511, and to the map or plan entitled, "MAP SHOWING ALLEYS
PROPOSED TO BE VACATED UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1511 ",
referred to therein, both of which are on file and open to public
inspection in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of
said City, in said City, and both of which, by this reference, are
incorporated herein and made a part hereof for further particulars.
SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby determine that
the public convenience and necessity require the reservation of
the easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in Sec-
tion 8330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali-
fornia, and these proceedings are taken, subject to such reserva-
tions and exceptions. The easements and rights of way hereby
reserved and excepted from the vacation are the following, to wit:
The permanent easement and right at any time or
from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate,
replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm
drains and appurtenant structures, in, upon, over and
across any street, or part, or portion thereof proposed
to be vacated hereby and pursuant to any existing fran-
chises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct,
maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge
lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other
convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the
operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone
lines, railroad lines and lines for the transportation
or distribution of electric energy, petroleum and its
products, ammonia, water and incidental purposes, in-
cluding access and the right to keep the property free
from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and other-
wise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and

over the portion of the public alle}s proposed to be
vacated hereby.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in
the book of original resolutions of said city; shall make a min-
ute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records and pro-
ceedings of the City Council of said city in the minutes of the
meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall cause
a certified copy thereof, attested by the City Clerk under the
seal of said city, to be recorded in the office of the County
of Los Angeles, State of California.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of
the City Council of the said city is five; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 1524 , was passed and adopted
by the said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of
said city, and attested by the City Clerk of said city, all at
a regular meeting of the said Council held on the 27th day of
July, 1955, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Frederick, Gordon, Swanson and
Mayor Selby;
NOES: Councilmen None;
ABSENT: Councilman Baker.
