CC RESOLUTION 1516RESOLUTION NO. 1516. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING CANCEL- LATION OF TAXES AND ASSESSMENTS ON CERTAIN PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY SAID CITY FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES, DEDICATION OF OREGON AND CALIFORNIA STREETS. WHEREAS, the City of El Segundo, California, did hereto- fore acquire the following described unimproved properties within said City for public street uses and purposes, namely the dedica- tion of Oregon and California Streets within said City, as here- inafter set forth by the followinq deeds, to wit: 1. A street deed from i. AND Pi. REALTY CORPORATION, a corporation, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corpora- tion, to the following described parcels: The east 25.00 feet of Lots 93, 94, and 95, Block 123; of El Segundo, Sheet No. $, as recorded on Pages 105 and 107 of Book 22 of PZaps in the of- fice of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, which deed was duly and regularly accepted by the City Coun- cil, on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of April 50 1955, and thereafter recorded as one document in the of- fice of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, in Book 47447 at Page 105 of Official Records, on file in said office, on the 11th day of April, 1955; and 2. (a) A street deed from RICHARD SEIFRIED, JR. and JOY C. SEIFRIED, his wife, owners as joint tenants, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation, to the follow- ing described parcels: The west 25.00 feet of Lots 128 and 129, Block 123; of E1 Segundo, Sheet No. 8, as recorded on Pages 106 and 107 of Book 22 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California; - I - (b) A street deed from JAMS S. TRULOVE, a married man, and ROBERT W. TRULOVE, a married man, each owner of an undivided one -half interest, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation, to the following described. parcel: The West 25.00 feet of Lot 155, Block 123; of El Segundo Sheet No. 5, as recorded on Pages 105 and 107 of Book 22 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, (c) A street deed from PAUL U. KIECHLE and ANNA M. KIECHLE, his wife, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation, to the following described parcel: The East 25.00 feet of Lot 152, Block 1.23; of E1 Se:Tundo, Sheet No. 5, as recorded on Pages 106 and 107 of Book 22 of :Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Los Anrreles County, California, (d) A street deed from HOWARD W. DINGP1AN and ETHEL M. DI"INGRIAN, his wife, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation, to the followin,m described parcel: The East 25.00 feet of Lot 153, Block 123; of El Segundo, Sheet No. 5, as recorded on Pages 106 and 107 of Book 22 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, which deeds were duly and regularly accepted by the City Coun- cil, on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of May 11, 1955, and thereafter recorded as one document in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, in Book 47799 at Page 15 of Officials Records, on file in said office, on the 17th day of May, 1955; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SE- GUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERPIINE, FIND AND ORDER. AS FOLLO'dS: FIRST: That said City does hereby certify that the said above described respective real properties have, since their said acquisition by said City, been reserved and used for public street purposes hereinabove set forth, and that said respective parcels of property are now being held and used, and will continue to be held and used, for said public street purposes; - 2 - SECOND: That the said above described respective prop- erties were, at the time of acquisition thereof, and still are within the corporate limits of said City of El Segundo; THIRD: That the said above described real properties are essential to the said City for said public street purposes; FOURTH: That the City Council of said City of E1 Segun- do does hereby petition and request the Honorable Board of Super- visors of Los Angeles County to order the cancellation of all taxes and all assessment liens legally cancellable by the proper County officials pursuant to Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California, on the said above described parcels of real property, the whole of which, as above stated, are respective- ly devoted to public street uses and purposes hereinabove set forth in the preamble to this resolution; FIFTH: That the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo, California, be and she is hereby authorized and directed to im- mediately cause a certified copy of this resolution to be forwarded to said Honorable Board of Supervisors of said Los An';eles County as the petitio?.z and request of the City of El Se: -undo and of the City Council of said City for the cancellation of all of said taxes and all of said assessment liens so legally cancellable; and SIXTH: That said City Clerk be and she is liereby further authorized and instructed to supply any further necessary informa- tion and documents which may be required in order to promptly and effectively procure the cancellation of the taxes and assessment liens above referred to.
