CC RESOLUTION 1511er, RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1511. A RESOLUTION OF TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS IN- TENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION (SUBJECT TO THE RESERVATION AND EXCEPTION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS AND RIGHTS OF WAY) OF THE PUBLIC ALLEYS IN BLOCK 29, EL SEGUNDO TRACT, WITHIN SAID CITY. The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 194111, being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Coun- cil of the City of El Segundo, California, to order the vacation (subject to the reservation and exception of easements and rights of way as set forth hereinafter) of the public alley which runs northerly and southerly through Block 29, El Segundo Sheet No. 1, as shown on map recorded in Book 15, Page 69 of Maps, on file in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, and of the public alley which runs easterly and westerly through said Block 29, as shown on said map recorded as aforesaid. For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of said alleys, reference is hereby made to a map entitled, "MAP SHOWING ALLEYS PROPOSED TO BE VACATED UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTEN- TION NO. 15'11 ", on file and open to public inspection in the office of the City Clerk of the City of E1 Segundo, California, in the City Hall of said City, located at 203 Richmond Street therein. SECTION 2. The City Council does hereby determine that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation of the easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in Sec- tion 5330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, - 1 - Jg and these proceedings are taken, subject to such reservations and exceptions. The easements and rights of way hereby reserved and excepted from the vacation are the following, to wit: The permanent easement and right at any time or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures, in, upon, over and across any street, or part, or portion thereof proposed to be va- cated hereby and pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, main- tain., operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other con- venient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines and lines for the transportation or distribution of electric energy, petroleum and its pro- ducts, ammonia, water and incidental purposes, including access and the right to keep the property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the public alleys proposed to be vacated hereby. SECTION 3. That the hour of 7 :00 o'clock P. M. (California Dayliu•ht Saving Time), on Wednesday, the 27th day of July, 1955, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 203 Rich- mond Street, in said City, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said public alleys may ap- pear before said City Council and be heard and offer testimony and submit evidence in relation thereto. SECTION 4. That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of E1 Segundo, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "NOTICE OF STREET VACATION (ALLEYS IN BLOCK 29, EL SEGUNDO TRACT) AND OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON ", to be posted as required - 2 - by the said "Street Vacation Act of 194111, being Part 3 of Divisi- on 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and the City Council of said City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption_ of this resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said City and hereby designated for that purpose by the said City Council.
