A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING CANCEL-
LATION OF TAXES AND ASSESSMENTS ON CERTAIN
PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY SAID CITY FOR PUBLIC
STREET PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of E1 Segundo, California, did here-
tofore acquire the following described properties within said
City for public street uses and purposes, namely Nevada Street,
Oregon Street and Franklin Street within said City, as herein-
after set forth by the following deeds, to wit:
1. A street deed from ERIC LIDOW and ELIZABETH LIDOW,
his wife, as joint owners of a one -half interest, to the
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation, to the follow-
ing described parcels:
The west 25.00 feet of Lots 74 and 75, Block 123;
El Segundo Sheet No. 8, as recorded on Pages 106
and 107 of Book 22 of Maps in the office of the
County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles,
California;
2. A street deed from ERIC LIDOW and ELIZABETH LIDOW,
his wife, owners as joint tenants of an undivided one -half
interest, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation,
to the following described parcel:
The west 25.00 feet of Lot 76, Block 123; of E1
Segundo, Sheet No. 8, as recorded on Pages 106
and 107 of Book 22 of Maps in the office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California;
3. A street deed from ERIC LIDOW and LEZA LIDOW, his
wife, owners as joint tenants of an undivided one -half in-
terest, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation,
to the following described parcels:
The east 25.00 feet of Lots 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41,
Block 123 and the west 25.00 feet of Lots 74 and
75, Block 123; of E1 Segundo, Sheet No. 8, as re-
corded on Pages 106 and 107 of Book 22 of Maps in
the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles
County, California;

4. A street deed from JOHN W. HAUSER and JEANNE G.
HAUSER, his wife, owners as joint tenants, to the CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation, to the following de-

of E1 Segundo, Sheet No. 8, as recorded on Pages
106 and 107 of Book 22 of Maps in the office of
the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, Cali-

5. A street deed from JAMES H. WILSON and MARTHA P.
WILSON, his wife, owners as joint tenants, to the CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation, to the following de-
scribed parcel:
The west 25.00 feet of Lot 70, Block 123; of E1
Segundo, Sheet No. 8, as recorded on Pages 106
and 107 of Book 22 of Maps in the office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California;
6. A street deed from DAVID C. POST and ANNA GRACE
POST, his wife, as joint owners of an undivided one -fifth
interest, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation,
to the following described parcels:

one -half interest, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal
corporation, to the following described parcels:
The east 25.00 feet of Lots 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41,
and the west 25.00 feet of Lots 74, 75 and 76, all
in Block 123; of El Segundo, Sheet No. 8, as re-
corded on Pages 106 and 107 of Book 22 of M aps
in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles
County, California; and
18. A street deed from NATHAN LEVY and FLORENCE LEVY,
his wife, owners as joint tenants of an undivided one -half

interest, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation,
to the following described parcel:
The west 25.00 feet and the south 25.00 feet of
Lot 132, Block 123; of El Segundo, Sheet No. 8,
as recorded on Pages 106 and 107 of Book 22 of
Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Los
Angeles County, California
which deeds were duly and regularly accepted by the City
Council, on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of
March 23, 1955, and thereafter recorded as one document in
the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, California,
in Book 47338 at Page 226 of Official Records, on file in
said office, on the 30th day of March, 1955;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SE-
GUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, FIND
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
FIRST: That said Council does hereby certify that the
said above described respective real properties have, since their
said acquisition by said City, been reserved and used for public
street purposes hereinabove set forth, and that said respective
parcels of property are now being held and used, and will continue
to be held and used, for said public street purposes;
SECOND: That the said above described respective prop-
erties were, at the time of acquisition thereof, and still are
within the corporate limits of said City of E1 Segundo;
THIRD: That the said above described real properties
are essential to the said City for said public street purposes;
FOURTH: That the City Council of said City of E1 Segun-
do does hereby petition and request the Honorable Board of Super-
visors of Los Angeles County to order the cancellation of all taxes
and all assessment liens legally cancellable by the proper County
officials pursuant to Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation
Code of the State of California, on the said above described par-
cels of real property, the whole of which, as above stated, are

respectively devoted to public street uses and purposes herein-
above set forth in the preamble to this resolution;
FIFTH: That the City Clerk of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, be and she is hereby authorized and directed to im-
mediately cause a certified copy of this resolution to be for-
warded to said Honorable Board of Supervisors of said Los Angeles
County as the petition and request of the City of E1 Segundo and
of the City Council of said City for the cancellation of all of
said taxes and all of said assessment liens so legally cancella-
ble; and
SIXTH: That said City Clerk be and she is hereby fur-
ther authorized and instructed to supply any further necessary
information and documents which may be required in order to
promptly and effectively procure the cancellation of the taxes
and assessment liens above referred to.
