A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND
CONCURRING IN THE FINDINGS, DETERMINATION,
INTERPRETATION AND ACTION OF THE CITY PLAN-
NING COMMISSION OF SAID CITY AS SET FORTH IN
RESOLUTION NO. 211 OF SAID COMMISSION, DETER-
MINING THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL
PROPERTY WHICH REVERTED TO PRIVATE STATUS BY
THE VACATION OF HOLLY AVENUE AND OF THE PUBLIC
ALLEY DESCRIBED IN ORDINANCE NO. 358 OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of E1
Segundo, California, did at the regular meeting of said Commis-
sion held on the 28th day of February, 1955, adopt the following
resolution of said Commission, to wit:

OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTED
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 1402 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 434 (THE ZONING ORDINANCE) OF
SAID CITY, CLARIFYING AN AMBIGUITY WITH REFER-
ENCE TO THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE PARCELS OF
REAL PROPERTY WHICH REVERTED TO PRIVATE STATUS
BY THE VACATION OF THE PORTION OF HOLLY AVENUE
AND OF THE PUBLIC ALLEY DESCRIBED IN ORDINANCE
NO. 358 OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, did heretofore on the 17th of August, 1949,
pursuant to appropriate proceedings duly had and regularly
taken under the provisions of the Street Opening Act of 1889
of the State of California (Part 1 of Division 5 of the
Streets and Highways Code of said State) as same then exist-
ed, adopt Ordinance No. 358 of said City, entitled:

CALIFORNIA, DECLARING VACANT FOR PUBLIC
STREET PURPOSES A CERTAIN PORTION OF
HOLLY AVENUE WITHIN SAID CITY, AND DE-
CLARING VACANT FOR PUBLIC ALLEY PURPOSES
A CERTAIN PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PUBLIC
ALLEY EXTENDING NORTHERLY AND SOUTHERLY
IN BLOCK 67, OF EL SEGUNDO, AS SHOWN ON
EL SEGUNDO SHEET NO. 7, BOOK 22, PAGES
54 AND 55 OF MAPS, RECORDS OF LOS ANGELES
COUNTY, AS CONTEMPLATED BY RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION NO. 1002.";

"WHEREAS, by virtue of said proceedings and of said
Ordinance No. 358, the following described portion of Holly
Avenue and the following described portion of the following
described public alley were respectively closed up, vacated
and abandoned for public street and alley purposes, to wit:
(A) All of that certain portion of that certain pub-
lic street within said City designated and known as
Holly Avenue which is enclosed within the following
described exterior boundary line to wit: Beginning
at the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 34, as per
E1 Segundo Sheet No. 7, Book 22, Pages 54 and 55 of
Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, California, and
on file in the office of the County Recorder of said
County; thence northerly, in a straight line, to the
southwest corner of Lot 9, Block 67, recorded and on
file as aforesaid; thence easterly along the souther-
ly line of said Lot 9 and along the easterly prolonga-
tion of said Lot 9 across the intervening alley and
along the southerly line of Lot 10 of Block 67, re-
corded and on file as aforesaid, to the southeast
corner of said Lot 10; thence southerly in a straight
line, to the northeast corner of Lot 13, Block 34,
recorded and on file as aforesaid; thence westerly
along the northerly line of Lots 13 and 1 of said
Block 34, to the point of beginning; and
(B) All of that certain portion of that certain pub-
lic alley extending northerly and southerly in Block
67, of El Segundo, as shown on E1 Segundo Sheet No.
7, Book 22, Pages 54 and 55 of Maps, Records of Los
Angeles County, California, on file in the office of
the County Recorder of said County, described as fol-
lows, to wit: The southerly one hundred and eighty -
five feet (1$5.001) of that certain public alley in
Block 67, and extending northerly and southerly there-
in, and as shown on E1 Segundo Sheet No. 7, Book 22,
Pages 54 and 55 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles Coun-
ty, California, and on file in the office of the Coun-
ty Recorder of said County;
and
WHEREAS, by virtue of the restoration of said two par-
cels of real property to private status as a result of said
vacation proceedings, an ambiguity as to the particular
classification of said parcels of property under the provi-
sions of said Ordinance No. 434 (the Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance) of said City has arisen; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 1402 of said
Ordinance No. 434, the Planning Commission of said City is
charged with the duty of ascertaining all pertinent facts
with reference thereto and by resolution of record to set
forth its findings and its interpretations with reference
to said matters and forward the same to the City Council
for its consideration and action; and
WHEREAS, said Planning Commission has now ascertained
all pertinent facts with reference to said matters and is
in a position to set forth its findings and its interpre-
tations with regard thereto;

"NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DE-
CLARE, FIND AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 3. That nothing in this resolution contained
shall operate or be construed to operate in any manner as
limiting, modifying, interferring with or affecting any
pre- existing nonconforming public utility use or uses which
may exist in, or at the locations of, the said parcels of
real property hereinabove described.
SECTION 4. That this resolution shall take effect im-
mediately.
SECTION 5. That the Secretary of this Commission be

transmit to the City Council of said City a copy of this
resolution as a report of the findings and recommendations
of the Planning Commission of said City with reference to
the matters hereinabove referred to.
Passed, approved and adopted this 28th day of February,

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of E1 Se-
gundo, California, does hereby resolve, declare, find, determine
and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council, as contemplated under
the provisions of Section 1402 of Article 14 of Ordinance No. 434
(The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance) of said City, does hereby

concur in, approve and confirm the findings,

SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in
the book of original resolutions of said City; shall make a min-
ute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the
proceedings of the City Council of the said City, in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall
forward a copy to the Planning Commission and to each of the de-
partment heads concerned, for their information and files in the
premises.
Passed, approved and adopted this 23rd day of March,
1955.
