A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A TENTA-
TIVE BUDGET IN AND FOR SAID CITY FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR 1954 -1955.
The City Council of the City of El Segundo, California,
does resolve, declare, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That a full, true and correct copy of that
certain 'BUDGET OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA 1954 -55
FISCAL YEAR ", which consists of a title page; two (2) pages of
tabulations of totals; one (1) page of estimated revenues for
general fund; and twenty -five (25) pages of departmental, funds
and activities, allocations and determinations, presented to this
Council at this meeting, be placed on file in the office of the
City Clerk, open to public inspection, and that the same as so on
file be and it is hereby referred to and by this reference incor-
porated herein and made a part hereof as fully for all intents and
purposes as though the same was herein set forth at length.
SECTION 2. That for the convenience, guidance and infor-
mation of the City Council and the various department heads of said
city, the said 'BUDGET OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA 1954 -55
FISCAL YEAR ", hereinabove referred to in Section 1 of this resolu-
tion and on file as aforesaid, shall be and the same is hereby ap-
proved and adopted as the TENTATIVE BUDGET of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, for the fiscal year 1954 -1955•
SECTION 3. That nothing in said "BUDGET OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA 1954 -55 FISCAL YEAR ", hereinabove adopted,
or in this resolution contained, shall in any manner be, or be con-
sidered, or construed as, binding or as indefinitely fixing and
establishing the various items hereinabove set forth as being

absolute. Said budget is merely compiled and adopted as aforesaid
for the convenience and guidance of the said City Council and of
the various department heads of said City, and for their general
information. Said City Council hereby reserves the right to make
any change or changes, either by way of addition or deduction, or
otherwise, to theitems contained in said budget, or any of them,
and to add any new item or items, or eliminate any item or items,
at any time and without notice.
SECTION 4. That this resolution shall take effect im-
mediately.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in
the book of original resolutions of said City; and shall make a
minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the
proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of
the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 4th day of August,
1954.

1954, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following
