NO. 1395.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SE3UNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDMMD
THE WORE DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION N0. 1380.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", being
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
DOES RESOLVE as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require the work
hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said City Council
hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements to be
made in said city, to wit:
The grading, paving with asphaltic concrete pavement,
construction of cement concrete curbs and sidewalks, retaining wall,
driveway aprons, catch basin, cross gutters, construction of vitrified
clay pipe sanitary sewers, vitrified clay pipe house connection sewers,
manholes and appurtenant work in connection therewith in Sycamore Avenue
and other streets and easement, all as particularly described in
Resolution of Intention No. 1380 passed and adopted by the City Council
of said city on the 27th day of January, 1951+ and on file in the office
of the City Clerk of said city.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention No. 1380 and to the plans, profiles and drawings
No. 530331, consisting of 22 sheets, and Standard Flans Nos. SD 520709
and ST 520610 on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City
of E1 Segundo, and to the specifications for the said work heretofore
adopted by the said City Council and on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said city, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings.
and specifications heretofore approved by the City Council of said
city are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference

is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said
work.
Said City Council has determined and declared that the
contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in the
opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary public
benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of said
work chargeable upon a district. For the particular description of said
district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 1380.
Said City Council has determined and declared that serial
bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6p) per annum
and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day
of January next succeeding the next October 15th followitkg their date,
will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improvement
Act of 1911", being Part 50 Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, to represent each assessment of twenty -five
dollars ($25.00) or more remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after
the date of recording the warrant.
Said City Council has determined and declared in said
Resolution of Intention No. 1380 that the City will pay out of its
General Fund the stmt of $110.00 toward the costs and expenses of the
removal and replacement of certain existing curb and sidewalk. The
liability and obligation to pay* said sum, as provided in said Resolution
of Intention, shall accrue and become fixed upon the date of confirmation
of the assessment for said improvement.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried
through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State of
California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", Division 7 of
the Streets and Highways Code.
The Clerk of said city is hereby directed to post conspicuously
for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the City Council, in

the manner and form required by said Code, a Notice Inviting
Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein ordered, and
the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the
"E1 Segundo Herald", a weekly newspaper published and circulated
in said city and hereby designated by the said City Council for
that purpose, a notice inviting such proposals or bids for doing
the said work and referring to the specifications on file.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this resolution; shall enter the same in the Book of Resolutions
of said city, and shall make a minute of the adoption thereof in
the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said city
in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.

the City Council of said city is five; that the foregoing resolution,
being Resolution No. 1395 _, was duly passed and adopted by
