RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA ORDERING
THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION NO. 1382.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
pursuant to the provisions of the rclmprovement Act of 1911 ", being
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
DOES RESOLVE as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require the work
hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said City Council
hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements to be
made in said city, to wit:
The grading, paving with asphaltic concrete pavement,
construction of cement concrete curbs, driveway aprons, and appurtenant
work in connection therewith in Maple Avenue and other streets, all
as particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 1382 passed
and adopted by the City Council of said city on the 27th day of
January, 1954 and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
city.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention No. 1382 and to the plans, profiles and drawings
No. 530903, consisting of 2 sheets, and Standard Plan ST 520610 on file
in the office of the City Engineer of said City of E1 Segundo, and to
the specifications for the said work heretofore adopted by the said
City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city,
and all of said plans, profiles, drawings and specifications heretofore
approved by the City Council of said city are incorporated herein and
made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more
particular description of said work.

Said City Council has determined and declared that the
contempldbed work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in the
opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary public
benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of said
work chargeable upon a district. For the particular description of
said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of
Intention No. 1382.
Said City Council has determined and declared that serial
bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6 %) per annum
and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day
of January next succeeding the nest October 15th following their date,
will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improvement
Act of 1911 ", being Part 5, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, to represent each assessment of twenty —five
dollars ($25.00) or more remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after
the date of recording the warrant.
Said City Council has determined and declared in said
Resolution of Intention No. 1382 that the City it 11 pay out of its
General Fund the sum of $200.00 toward the costs and expenses of the
removal and replacement of certain existing curb. The liability and
obligation to pay said sum, as provided in said Resolution of Intention,
shall accrue and become fixed upon the date of confirmation of the
assessment for said improvement.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried
through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State of
California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", Division 7 of
the Streets and Highways Code.
The Clerk of said city is hereby directed to post conspicuously
for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the City Council, in
the manner and form required by said Code, a Notice Inviting Sealed
Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein ordered, and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the "rl Segundo Herald",

a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said city and hereby
designated by the said City Council for that purpose, a notice
inviting such proposals or bids for doing the said work and referring
to the specifications on file.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this resolution; shall enter the same in the Book of Resolutions
of said city, and shall make a minute of the adoption thereof in
the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said city in
the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of
the City Council of said city is five; that the foregoing resolution,
being Resolution No. 1393 , was duly passed and adopted by the
said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of s aid city, and
attested by the City Clerk of said city, all at a regular meeting of
the said City Council held on the 10th day of March , 1954
and that the same was so passed aid adopted by the following vote:
