RESOLUTION NO. 1378 _
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDG, CALIFORNIA, REQUEST-
ING CANCELLATION OF TAXES AND ASSESSMENTS
ON CERTAIN PROPERTIES ACQUIRED BY SAID
CITY FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES (RELOCA-
TION OF COAST BOULEVARD).
9HEREAS, the City of E1 Segundo, California, did
heretofore acquire the following described properties within
said City for public street uses and purposes, namely the re-
location of Coast Boulevard within said City, as hereinafter
set forth by the following conveyance, to wit:
A right of way from STANDARD OIL COIiPANY OF CALI-
FORNIA, a corporation, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal
corporation, to the following described parcels:

That portion of Lot 2 of Tract No. 1314, as per map
recorded in Book 20, page 161, of Maps; that portion of
Lot 2 of Tract No. 3303, as per map recorded in Book 36,
page 14, of Iviaps, and those portions of Lots 34 and 36
of Tract No. 2356, as per map recorded in Book 28, pages
41 and 42, of Flaps, all on file in the office of the
County Recorder of said County, described as a whole as
follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Lot 2 of
Tract No. 1314; thence East along the Southerly line of
said Lot, a distance of 355.27 feet to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING of this description; thence North 230 131 00"

to the West, tangent to said last mentioned course and
having a radius of 765.00 feet; thence Northerly, along
said curve, 367.40 feet; thence tangent to said curve,

which said line intersects the Northeasterly line of
Lot 1 of said Tract No. 1314 at a point distant North
230 131 0011 West, 460.00 feet, measured along said North-
easterly line, from the Southeast corner of said Lot l;
thence North 660 471 00t1 East, 78.93 feet to a line that
is parallel with and 70.00 feet Northeasterly, measured
at right angles, from the course hereinabove described
as having a bearing of North 500 441 0011 West and a
length of 116.26 feet; thence South 500 441 0011 East,

curve that is concentric with and 70.00 feet Northeast-
erly, measured radially, from the curve hereinabove de-
scribed as having a radius of 765.00 feet and a length
of 367.40 feet; thence Southeasterly, along said concen-
tric curve, 401.61 feet to a point in a line that is paral-
lel with and 70.00 feet Northeasterly, measured at right
angles, from the course hereinabove described as having
a bearing of North 230 13t 20" West and a length of 164.95
feet; thence South 230 131 00" east, along said last men-
tioned parallel line and its Southeasterly prolongation,
1405.00 feet to a point in a line that is parallel with
and 600.00 feet Northwesterly, measured at right angles,
from the Northwesterly line of 45th Street, as shown on
the map of Tract No. 4103, recorded in Book 46, page 8,
of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said
County; thence South 670 47' 00" West along said last
mentioned parallel line, 70.01 feet to the Southeasterly
prolongation of said course which is hereinabove described
as having a bearing of North 230 131 00" Wiest and a length
of 164.95 feet; thence North 230 13t 00" West, 1238.83
feet to said TaUE POINT OF AEGINNING.

That portion of Lot 2 of Tract No. 1314, as per map
recorded in Book 20, page 161, of Raps, in the office of
the County Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Lot 2;
thence East, along the Southerly line of said Lot, a dis-
tance of 355.27 feet,; thence North 230 13' 00" West,
164.95 feet to the beginning of a curve concave to the
Nest, tangent to said last mentioned course and having
a radius of 765.00 feet; thence Northerly, along said
curve, 367.40 feet; thence tangent to said curve, North
500 44' 00" Nest, 116.26 feet to the intersection with
a line having a bearing of North 660 471 00" Last, which
said line intersects the Northeasterly line of Lot 1 of
said Tract No. 1314 at a point distant North 230 13' 00"
West, 460.00 feet, measured along said Northeasterly
line, from the Southeast corner of said Lot l; the North -
westerly terminus of the course hereinabove described
as having a bearing of North 500 44t 00" West and a
length of 116.26 feet being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING
of this description; thence continuing North 500 441 00"
West, 133.74 feet to the beginning of a curve concave
to the East, tangent to said last mentioned course and
having a radius of 835.00 feet; thence Northerly, along
said curve, 56.67 feet, more or less, to the intersection of
the Northeasterly line of that certain land deeded for public

of Deeds, in the office of the County Recorder of said
County; thence Northwesterly along said Northeasterly
line 334.66 feet; thence Southerly along a curve concave
to the `Fast, tangent to said last mentioned Northeasterly
line, and having a radius of 765.00 feet, a distance of
367.40 feet, to a point in a line that is parallel with
and 70.00 feet Northeasterly, measured at right angles,
from the course hereinabove described as having a bear-
ing of North 500 44t 0011 West and a length of 133.74
feet; thence South 500 44' 00" Fast, along said parallel
line and its Southeasterly prolongation, 170.20 feet to
a point that bears North 660 472 0011 East, from the TRUE
POINT OF BEGINNING; thence South 660 47t 0011 West, 78.93
feet to said TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
PARCEL 3
That portion of Lot 2 of Tract No. 1314, as per map
recorded in Book 20, page 161, of Maps, in the office of
the County Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Southwesterly
line of that certain land deeded for public road and high-
way purposes as described in Book 6388, page 49 of Deeds,
in the office of the County Recorder of said County, with
the Southwesterly prolongation of a radial line that is
drawn through the most Northerly corner of the parcel
of land hereinabove described and designated as Parcel 2,
said most Northerly corner being at the Northerly termi-
nus of the curve in the Easterly boundary line of said
Parcel 2 which is described as having a radius of 765.00
feet and a length of 367.40 feet; thence from said point
of beginning, South 660 472 0011 West, along said South-
westerly prolongation of a radial line, to the intersec-
tion with a curve that is concentric with and 70.00 feet
Southwesterly, measured radially, from the above mentioned
curve in the Easterly boundary line of Parcel 2 which is
described as having a radius of 765.00 feet; thence Souther-
ly, along said concentric curve, 129.36 feet to said
Southwesterly line of the land deeded for public road and

Southwesterly line, 128.84 feet to the point of beginning.

That portion of Lot 31 of Tract No. 2356, as per
reap recorded in Book 28, pages 41 and 42, of 1,1aps, in the
office of the County Recorder of said County, described
as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northwesterly
line of 45th Street, as shown on said map of Tract No.
4103 with the Southwesterly line of Lot 37 of said Tract
No. 2356; thence North 520 541 001, West, along said
Southwesterly line, 90.77 feet to the intersection with
the Southeasterly extension of the curve in the South-
westerly boundary line of the hereinabove described Par-
cel 4 which is described as having a radius of 847.85
feet and a length of 105.09 feet; thence Southeasterly
along said Southeasterly extension, 87.99 feet to the
said Northwesterly line of 45th Street; thence North 670
471 0011 East, along said Northwesterly line, 5.80 feet
to the point of beginning.
which conveyance was duly and regularly accepted by the
Council, on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of
December 9, 1953, and thereafter recorded in the office of the
Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, in Look 43391 at
Page 354 of official Records, on file in said office, on the
15th day of December, 1953•

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY HESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE,
FIND AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
FIRST: That said Council does hereby certify that
the said above described real properties have, since their
said acquisition by said City, been reserved and used for pub-
lic street purposes, hereinabove set forth, and that said par-
cels of property are now being held and used, and will continue
to be held and used, for said public street purposes;
SECOND: That the said above described properties
were, at the time of acquisition thereof, and still are with-
in the corporate limits of said City of El Segundo;
THIRD: That the said above described real properties
are essential to the said City for said public street purposes;
FOURTH: That the City Council of said City of E1
Segundo does hereby petition and request the honorable Board
of Supervisors of Los Angeles County to order the cancellation
of all takes and all assessment liens legally cancellable by
the proper County officials pursuant to Section 4986 of the
Revenue and 'Taxation Code of the State of California, on the
said above described parcels of real property, the whole of
which, as above stated, are respectively devoted to public
street uses and purposes hereinabove set forth in the preamble
to this resolution;
FIFTH: That the City Clerk of the City of El Segun-
do, California, be and she is hereby authorized and directed
to immediately cause a certified copy of this resolution to be
forwarded to said honorable Board of Supervisors of said Los
Angeles County as the petition and request of the City of E1
Segundo and the City Council of said City for the cancellation
of all of said taxes and all of said assessment liens so legal-
ly cancellable; and

SIXTH: That said City Clerk be and sire is hereby
further authorized and instructed to supply any further neces-
sary information and documents which may be required in order
to promptly and effectively procure the cancellation of the
taxes and assessment liens above referred to.
Passed, approved and adopted this 13th day of Janu-
ary, 1954.
