A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING
THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF ARENA
STREET WITHIN SAID CITY, AS CONTEMPLATED
BY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1359 OF
a
SAID CITY COUNCIL ADOPTED ON THE 16TH
DAY OF OCTOBER, 1953.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, Cali-
fornia, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation
Act of 1941 ^, being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve,
declare, find, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. Said City Council, after public hearing
duly and regularly called, noticed and held, finds and deter-
mines from all the evidence submitted, that that portion of
Arena Street within said City described in Resolution of In-
tention No. 1359 of said City Council, adopted by said City
Council on the 16th day of October, 1953, is unnecessary for
present or prospective public street purposes.
SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience
require, and it is hereby ordered that the following portion
of the following public street within the said City, to wit:
All that portion of Arena Street lying between
the north line of Grand Avenue and the south
line of the Pacific Electric Railway right of
way, as shown on the map recorded as E1 Segundo
Sheet No. 7 in Map Book 22, Pages 54 & 55 on file
in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles
County, California,
be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for
California, adopted by said City Council on the 16th day of
October, 1953•
Reference is hereby made to said Resolution of In-
tention No. 1359 and to the map or plan entitled, "MAP SHOW-
ING PORTION OF ARENA STREET PROPOSED TO BE VACATED UNDER
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1359 ", referred to therein, both
of which are on file and open to public inspection in the of-
fice of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said City, in said
City, and both of which, by this reference, are incorporated
herein and made a part hereof for further particulars.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the
same in the book of original resolutions of said City; shall
make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the re-
cords and proceedings of the City Council of said City in the
minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted;
and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by the City
Clerk under the seal of said City, to be recorded in the of-
fice of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles,
State of California.
Passed, approved and adopted this 12th day of Novem-
ber, 1953•

same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:

Mayor Selby;
NOES: Councilmen None;
