A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE RECONNENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNING
COMvIISSION AS CONTAINED IN ITS .RESOLUTION
NO. 157 AND ACCORDINGLY DENYING THE PETI-
TION OF ROBERT HEISNIAN AND OTHERS TO RE-
ZONE THE PROPERTY THEREIN REFERRED TO.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission, after hear-
ings duly and regularly held as provided by law, did in Reso-
lution No. 157 of said Commission passed and adopted on the
10th day of August, 1953, recommend to the City Council of
said City that the petition of Robert Heisman and others to
rezone and reclassify from a district of Zone R -1 to a dis-
trict of Zone R -2 under the provisions of Ordinance No. 306
of said City, the following described property, located in
the City of El Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of Cali-
fornia,
The southerly 175 feet of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4,
5 and 6, of Block 106, El Segundo,
be denied; and
WHEREAS, more than twenty (20) days have now elapsed
since said 10th day of August, 1953, the date of the adoption
of said resolution of said Commission, and no appeal from the
action of said Commission as expressed in its said Resolution
No. 157 has been filed or made; and
WHEREAS, under the circumstances, the City Council
believes that the action hereinafter taken is justified in the
premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE,
FIND AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That said City Council does hereby refer
to Resolution No. 157 of the City Planning Commission of the
City of El Segundo, California, adopted August 10, 1953, which
is now on file in the office of the Secretary of said Uomnis-
sion and a duplicate copy of which is on file in the office of
the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo and by this reference
does hereby incorporate the said resolution herein and make it
a part hereof as fully and for all intents and purposes as
though it were herein set forth at length.
SECTION 2. That said City Council does hereby make
the same findings and determinations on its part as are made
by said City Planning Commission In its said Resolution No.
157, with reference to the petition of said Robert Heisman and
others to rezone and reclassify the southerly 175 feet of Lots
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 Block 106, El Segundo, within said City,
from R -1 One- Family use to R -2 Two - Family use; and said Coun-
cil does further hereby approve the recommendations of said
City Planning Commission that said application be disapproved
without prejudice.
SECTION 3. That said City Council does hereby ac-
cordingly on its own part disapprove the said application and
deny the said application, without prejudice, however, to the
filing of a new application should said applicant at any future
time so desire.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same
in the book of original resolutions of said City; shall make a
minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of
the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the min-
utes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted;
and shall forward a copy of this resolution to said applicant

formation and files in the premises.
Passed, approved and adopted this 2nd day of Sep-
tember, 1953•

foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 1349 , was passed
and adopted by the said City Council, approved and signed by
the Mayor of said City, and attested by the City Clerk of said
City, all at a regular meeting of the said Council held on the
2nd day of September, 1953, and that the same was so passed and
adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Baker, Gordon, Swanson and
Mayor Selby;
NOES: Councilmen None;
ABSENT: Councilman Peterson.
