CC RESOLUTION 1312RESOLUTION NO. 1312. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1007 (ESTABLISHING RULES, REGULATIONS AND RATES FOR THE WATER DE- PARTMENT OF SAID CITY) OF SAID COUNCIL, BY AMENDING SUBDIVISION "B" OF SECTION 2 OF SKID RESOLUTION NO. 1007 AS AMENDED. The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, does resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION 1. That Subdivision "B" of Section 2 of Reso- lution No. 1007, entitled, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISH- ING CERTAIN RULES AND REGULATIONS WITH REFERENCE TO THE SERVICE OF WATER FROM THE MUNICIPAL WATERWORKS SYSTEM OF SAID CITY; FIXING A SCHEDULE OF RATES TO BE CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH SERVICE; AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 340 AS AMENDED, AND ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS AND PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THERE - WITH. ", passed and adopted on the 15th day of June, 1949, shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "(B) Deposits: Deposits are required as a condition of service in the amounts and under the conditions set forth hereunder: (1) Where service is to be delivered to other than a bona fide owner of the property, a cash deposit must be made to cover the Departmentts estimate of the average bill for two months service to the sub- ject property, and in no case shall such deposit be less than five dollars (.,'5.00). Said deposit will be refunded at the time such service is discontinued and all bills for water furnished such service are paid. - 1 - Y44 jW _ Lb (2) Each application for a new service installation (as differentiated from an order to turn on an exist- ing service connection) shall be accompanied by a cash deposit of five dollars (45.00). Said deposit shall be held by the Department for a period of six months from the date such new service is installed and turned on. At the end of this six month's period said deposit shall be credited to the account of the subject service to apply on subsequent billings un- til depleted. In the event that service is discon- tinued prior to the time that such credit is consumed, the balance of the deposit on hand in the Department will be refunded after all bills for water furnished such service are paid." SECTION 2. That said Resolution No. 1007 is hereby amended as hereinabove in Section 1 of this resolution set forth. SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect im- mediately. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
