CC RESOLUTION 1298")45 RESOLUTION NO. 1298. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VACATION OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CALI- FORNIA STREET, WITHIN SAID CITY, AS CON- TEMPLATED BY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1289 OF SAID CITY COUNCIL ADOPTED ON THE 11TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1953• The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, Cali- fornia, pursuant to the provisions of the „Street Vacation Act of 1941", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve, declare, find, determine and order as follows: SECTION 1. Said City Council, after public hearing duly and regularly called, noticed and held, finds and de- termines from all the evidence submitted, that those portions of California Street within said City described in Resolution of Intention No. 1289 of said City Council, adopted by said City Council on the 11th day of February, 1953, are unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes. SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience require, and it is hereby ordered, that the following portions of the following public street within the said City, to wit: (1) That portion of California Street in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of Cali- fornia, dedicated by Tract No. 15455 as per map recorded in Book 336, Pages 42 and 43 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows: Beginning at the Northerly terminus of the East boundary line of said California Street as shown on said map of said Tract No. 15455, said terminus being also a point in the Southerly boundary of Imperial Highway as shown on said map; thence along said East boundary line of said California Street South Oo OOt 45" West 20.00 feet to the beginning of a - 1 - non - tangent curve, concave Southeasterly and having a radius of 20.00 feet, a radial to said curve at said point bears North Oo 001 45" East; thence Southwesterly along said curve 31.42 feet; thence Northerly along the Northerly prolongation of the Easterly line of said California Street to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave Southeasterly and having a radius of 20.00 feet, said curve being also tangent to the Southerly line of said Imperial Highway at the point of begin- ning of this description; thence Northeasterly along said curve to the point of beginning; and (2) That portion of California Street in the City of El Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, dedicated by Tract No. 15455 as per map recorded in Book 336, Pages 42 and 43 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said county, described as follows: Beginning at the Northerly terminus of the West boundary line of said California Street as shown on said map of said Tract No. 15455, said terminus being also a point in the South- erly boundary of Imperial Highway as shown on said map; thence along said West boundary line of said California Street South Oo 001 45" West 20.00 feet to the beginning of a non - tangent curve, concave Southwesterly and hav- ing a radius of 20.00 feet, a radial to said curve at said point bears North Oo OOt 45" East; thence Southeasterly along said curve 31.42 feet; thence Northerly along the Nor- therly prolongation of the Westerly line of said California Street to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave Southwesterly and having a radius of 20.00 feet; said curve being also tangent to the Southerly line of said Imperial Highway at the point of begin- ning of this description; thence Northwesterly along said curve to the point of beginning, be and the same are hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, all as contemplated by Resolution of Intention No. 12$9 of the City Council of the City of E1 Se- gundo, California, adopted by said City Council on the 11th day of February, 1953• Reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Inten- tion No. 1289 and to the map or plan entitled, "MAP SHOWING PORTIONS OF CALIFORNIA STREET PROPOSED TO BE VACATED UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 12$9", referred to therein, both of which are on file and open to public inspection in the of- fice of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said City, in said - 2 - 7347 City, and both of which, by this reference, are incorporated herein and made a part hereof for further particulars. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records and proceedings of the City Council of said City in the min- utes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by the City Clerk under the seal of said City, to be recorded in the of- fice of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, State of California.
