CC RESOLUTION 12736949 RESOLUTION NO. 1273. ASCERTAINING AND DETsRMINING THE PREVAILING RATES OF WAGE TO BE PAID FOR THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council did on the 10th day of December, 1952 adopt Resolution of Intention No. 1268 for the grading, paving, construction of curbs, sidewalks, sanitary sewers in Walnut Avenue and other streets in the City of E1 Segundo, California; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, it is necessary that the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo ascertain and determine the general prevailing rates of wage on public works; and by the provisions of said Code, it is mandatory upon the awarding body of any public improvement to ascertain and determine the general prevailing rates of per diem wa„e in the locality in which the work ie to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract, and also the general prevailing rates for legal holidays and overtime work for each craft or type of workman and mechanic. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of El Segundo has ascertained and does hereby determine that the general prevailing rates of per diem wage in the locality in which the said work is to be performed, in the matter of certain public improvements of said streets, all in the City of E1 Segu-io, California, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract, and also the general prevailing rates for legal holidays and overtime work for each craft or type of workman or mechanic, to be as follow-; - 1 - 6950 The classifications and hourly wage rates, together with overtime, heretofore on the 10th day of December, 1952 determined by Resolution No. 1270 for certain street improvements in Acacia Avenue, ere hereby determined and adopted as the prevailing classifications anO hourly wage rates and overtime for the improvement provided for in walnut Avenue under Resolution of intFntion No. 1268. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adDntion of thi{ resolution; shall enter the same in the Book of Resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of the adoption thereof in the records of the rroceedings of the City Council of said city in the minutes of the meetinga at which the same is passed and adopted.
