CC RESOLUTION 1256685 RESOLUTION NO. 1256. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO. CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES LEVIED IN AND FUR SAID CITY, SUFFICIENT TO RAISE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY FIXED BY THE SAID CITY COUNCIL IN ORDINANCE NO. 412 THEREOF, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 27TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1952, AND THE EXPENSE OF COLLECTION OF SAID AMOUNT, THE SAID HATES HEREIN FIXED BEING THE RATES OF TAXES IN AND FUR SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1952 -1953• WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, did, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of August, 1952, duly pass and adopt an ordinance, being Ordinance No. 412 of said City, fixing the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property therein as a revenue to carry on the various depart- ments of said City; pay its bonded indebtedness; meet its obligations under the California State Employees' Retirement Act; maintain the free public library of said City; and meet and pay the costs of sewerage facilities for the current fis- cal year 1952 -1953, at the total sum of .603,197.55 ; and WHEREAS, said Council estimates that the expense of collecting the above amount so fixed will amount to the sum of 1$1,695.49 ; and WHEREAS, it is now the duty of said City Council to fix the respective rates of taxes necessary to be levied with- in said City in order to raise the respective amounts of money necessary to be raised by taxation therein for the current fiscal year 1952 -1953; - 1 - 68,;�(j NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, does hereby resolve, declare and deter- mine as follows: SECTION 1. That the respective rates of taxes neces- sary to be levied upon the taxable property within the said City of E1 Segundo, California, and within the respective por- tions of the said City hereinafter referred to, in order to raise the amounts of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon such taxable property for the current fiscal year 1952- 1953, as a revenue to carry on the various departments of said City; pay its bonded indebtedness; meet its obligations under the California State Employees' Retirement Act; maintain the free public library of said City; and meet and pay the costs of sewerage facilities for said fiscal year; and the expense of collection of said amounts, shall be and the same are here- by fixed, established and levied as follows: (1) In all that certain portion of said City of E1 Segundo, California, designated in Ordinance No. 152 of said City as "Tax District No. 111, such rates on each .100.00 of the assessed valuation of taxable property of the said portion of said City of El Segundo, shall be and the same are hereby fixed and established as follows: For carrying on the various departments of said City, at - - - - -- 1.00 For paying the bonded indebt- edness of said City, at ----- - - - - -- -- 176 For meeting and paying the obli- gations of said City to the State Employees+ Retirement System un- der the provisions of the Califor- nia State Employeest Retirement Act, at --------------------- - - - - -- 0� For maintaining the free public library of said City, at ---- - - - - -- .032 - 2 - 6 :1's1 For meeting and paying the costs of sewerage facilities as con- templated by law, the sum of -- - - - - -- Oq Making the total rate hereby levied for said Tax District No. 1 ------------------------- - - - - -- 1.38$ (2) That in all that certain portion of said City of El Segundo, California, designated in Ordinance No. 152 of said City as "Tax District No. 211, such rates on each 4100.00 of the assessed valuation of taxable prop- erty of said portion of said City of E1 Segundo, shall be and the same are hereby fixed and established as follows: For carrying on the various de- partments of said City, at --- - - - - -- iii nn For paying the bonded indebted- ness of said City, at ------ - - - - -- -- .255___ -J For meeting and paying the obli- gations of said City to the State Employees? That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the re- cords of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. Said City Clerk shall also immediately after the pas- sage and adoption of this resolution, cause a copy therenP, duly certified, to be transmitted to the Auditor of Los Angeles County, California. - 3 - GQ47)' Said City Clerk shall also, within fifteen (15) days after the passage and adoption of this resolution, cause it to be published at least once in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, pub- lished and circulated within said City, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
