A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLU-
TION NO. 1214 (THE SALARY AND COMPENSATION
RESOLUTION) OF SAID CITY BY AMENDING THE
"RECREATION SERIES" OF SUBDIVISION 2 OF
SECTION 1 OF SAID RESOLUTION NO. 1214, AS
AMENDED.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA,
DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE,
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the "RECREATION SERIES" of subdivision
2 of Section 1 of Resolution No. 1214, entitled,
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND ESTAB-
LISHING THE COMPENSATION OR PAY OF VARIOUS
MUNICIPAL OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF SAID
CITY, AND REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS AND ORDERS
AND PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS AND ORDERS IN CONFLICT
THEREWITH. ",
passed and adopted on the 27th day of February, 1952, shall be
and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
"RECREATION SERIES
"(A) The Recreation Director, as such, shall ren-
der service and shall receive compensation therefor as
follows:
1st 6 Mos. 7th thru 18th 19th and subsequent
of Service, Mos. of Service, Mos. of Service,

"He shall render full -time service during the months
of July and August of each year at the salary or compen-
sation hereinabove set forth; and
"He shall render part -time service during each re-
maining month of each calendar year (other than the months
of July and August) at one -half the salary or compensation
hereinabove set forth.

"(B) PLAYGROUND:
(1) High School Students employed in play-
ground activities shall receive the sum
of 75¢ per hour each, for each hour of
service.
(2) Junior College Students employed in play-
ground activities shall receive the sum
of $1.25 per hour each, for each hour of
service.
(3) Playground Leader shall receive the sum
of 41.25 per hour each, for each hour of
service.
(4) Custodian shall receive the sum of $1.50
per hour for each hour of service.
(5) Bus drivers shall receive the sum of
$1.50 per hour each, for each hour of
service.
(6) Instructor (Teachin Credential) shall
receive the sum of 11.50 per hour each,
for each hour of service.
(7) Secretary shall receive the sum of $1.25
per hour for each hour of service rendered
as such.
(8) General Supervisor (Teaching Credential)
shall receive the sum of $2.00 per hour
for each hour of service.
(9) Softball Umpire shall receive the sum of
$1.50 per hour for each hour of service.
"(C) PLUNGE:
(1) Attendants employed in plunge activities
shall receive the sum of 75¢ per hour
each, for each hour of service.
(2) Dressing Room Attendants shall receive the
sum of $1.00 per hour each, for each hour
of service.
(3) Junior Life Guards shall receive the sum
of $1.25 per hour each, for each hour of
service.
(4) Senior Life Guards shall receive the sum
of $1.50 per hour each, for each hour of
service.
(5) Machine Operators shall receive the sum of
$1.50 per hour each, for each hour of ser-
vice.
(6) Plunge Supervisor (Teaching Credential -
responsibility of the plunge and program)
shall receive the sum of $2.00 per hour
for each hour of service.

(7) Plunge Director shall render service and
shall receive compensation therefor as

(1) High School students employed in gymnasium
activities shall receive the sum of 75¢
per hour each, for each hour of service.
(2) Ticket sellers shall receive the sum of
$1.00 per hour each, for each hour of ser-
vice.
(3) Basketball referees shall receive the sum
of $2.00 each per game.
(4) Gymnasium Supervisor (Teaching Credential -
responsibility of the gymnasium and program)
shall receive the sum of $2.00 per hour.
"(E) CRAFT:
(1) Craft Instructor, when serving on a monthly
basis, shall receive the sum of $210.00 per
month ($2.00 per hour when serving on an
hourl basis with a maximum of $210.00 per
month.
(2) Assistant Craft Instructors shall receive
the sum of $1.50 per hour each, for each
hour of service.
(3) High School students employed in the Craft
Department shall receive the sum of 75¢
per hour each, for each hour of service.
(4) Equipment attendants shall receive the sum
of $1.00 per hour each, for each hour of
service.
(5) Craft Leaders shall receive the sum of $1.25
per hour each, for each hour of service.„
SECTION 2. That said Resolution No. 1214 is hereby
amended as hereinabove in Section 1 of this resolution set forth.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect and
be in full force and virtue on and after the 1st day of July,
1952.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original

of the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the
City of El Segundo, and shall make a minute of the passage and
adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City
Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which
the same is passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 18th day of June,
1952.

resolution, being Resolution No. 1238 , was passed and adopted
by the said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of
said City and attested by the City Clerk of said City, all at a
regular meeting of the said Council held on the 18th day of
June, 1952, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Baker, Gordon, Swanson and Mayor Selby;
NOES: Councilmen None;
ABSENT: Councilmen Peterson.
