RESOLUTION NO. 1212
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLU-
TION NO. 1143 (THE SALARY RESOLUTION) OF SAID
CITY BY AMENDING ITEMS 92 ", "33 ", "3411, "36 ",
1137 "2 "38 ", 1139 ", 114011 AND "4111 OF SUBDIVISION
2 OF THE "SCHEDULE OF COMPENSATION FOR THE VA-
RIOUS OFFICERS, DEPARTMENT HEADS AND EMPLOYEES"
SET FORTH IN SECTION 1 OF SAID RESOLUTION NO.
1143; BY AMENDING SECTION 6 OF SAID RESOLUTION
NO. 1143; AND BY AMENDING SECTION 15 OF SAID
RESOLUTION NO. 1143, AS AMENDED.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA,
DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That items 1132", "33"1 "34'ry "36rry "37"P
1138 ", "39 ", "4011 and "41" of the "GENERAL SALARY SCHEDULE" set
forth in subdivision 2 of the " SCHEDULE OF COMPENSATION FOR THE
VARIOUS OFFICERS, DEPARTMENT HEADS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA ", of Section 1 of Resolution No. 1143, en-
titled,
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND ESTAB-
LISHING THE COMPENSATION OR PAY OF VARIOUS
MUNICIPAL OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY,
AND REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS AND ORDERS AND
PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS AND ORDERS IN CONFLICT
THEREWITH. ",
passed and adopted on the 25th day of April, 1951, as amended,
shall be and the same are hereby respectively amended so as to
read as follows:

SECTION 2.
That Section
6 of said
Resolution No. 1143,
shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows,
to wit:
"SECTION 6. In addition to the compensation here -
inbefore fixed for police officers, any such police officer
when assigned by the Chief of Police to motorcycle duty
shall be entitled to additional compensation at the rate of
:15.00 per month for the time covered by such assignment to
motorcycle duty, and such additional amount shall be payable
at the time regular installments of salary are paid."
SECTION 3. That Section 15, as amended, of said Reso-
lution No. 1143, shall be and the same is hereby amended so as
to read as follows, to wit:
"SECTION 15. That notwithstanding any of the
other provisions of this Resolution, and effective on
and after the 1st day of February, 1952, the monthly
compensation, hereinabove provided in this resolution
for each of the respective officers and employees of
said City, excepting:
11(1) Elective officers, as such;
11(2) Members of the City Planning Commission,
as such;
"(3) Officers and employees of the Recreation
Department, as such;
"(4) The Veteranst Housing Manager, as such;
11(5) Officers and members of the Fire Depart-
ment, as such;
11(6) Officers and members of the Police De-
partment, as such;

"(7) The Director of Public Works;
"(8) The City Attorney;
11(9) The City Judge;
11(10) The City Prosecutor;
11(11) The Police Matron, as such; and
"(12) The Purchasing Agent, as such,
shall be and the same is hereby increased by the sum
of ten per cent (10%) of the amount of their respective
monthly compensations, as such officers and employees
as hereinabove fixed and established in this resolution,
which said additional amount of ten per cent (10%o) shall
be payable with, and in the same manner and in like pro-
portioned installments, as the respective regular salaries
or compensations of such affected officers and employees.
"The additional compensation provided in this
tSection 15t is granted and will be paid in view of in-
creased living costs, and the City Council reserves the
right to reduce the same at any time, in its discretion."
SECTION 4. That said Resolution No. 1143 is hereby
amended as hereinabove in Sections 1, 2 and 3 of this resolution
set forth.
SECTION 5. That this resolution shall take effect and
be in full force and virtue on and after the 1st day of February,
1952•
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original
of the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the City
of E1 Segundo, and shall make a minute of the passage and adop-
tion thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City

Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which
the same is passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 30th day of Jan-

lar meeting of the said Council held on the 30th day of January,
1951, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the follow-
