aTREIS, the City of E1 Segundo, California, did hereto-
fore acquire the following described properties within said City
for the respective public uses and purposes hereinafter set
forth by the following deeds, to wit:
(1) A deed from T1[.RG.'.RET ;u?DERSOY, a widow, to the CT TY
OF EL 3EG7u71DO, a municipal corporation, to the following de-
scribed parcel:
Lot 4 (four) in Block 42 (forty -two), as per map
recorded in Book 20, pages 22 -23 of 14aps in the
office of the County Recorder of said County,
which deed was duly and re= ,ularly accepted by the City Council,
on behalf of s«id City, at its regular meeting of July 17, 1940,
and thereafter recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los
Angeles County, California, in Book 17683 at Page 268 of Offici-
al Records, on file in said ofi'ice, on the 6th day of August,
1940, and whicn said property is now in use, and ever since
its said acquisition has been In use, for City Hall, _'olice
Station and Fire Station site purposes;
(2) A deed from 11. I. READE CL.11RKE, a widow, to the CITY
OF EL SEGCNDO, a municipal corporation, to the following
described parcel:
Lot Five (5) in Block_ - forty -two (42) E1 Segundo
Tract, as per map recorded in Book 20, pages 22 & 23
of liaps in the office of the County Recorder of said
County,
which deed was duly and regularly accepted by the City Council,
on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of June 26, 1940,

Angeles County, California, in Book 17644 at Page 147 of
Official Records, on file in said office, on the 3rd day of
July, 1940, and which said property is now in use, and ever
since its said acquisition has been in use, for City Hall,

(3) A deed from BERNICE F. CHINBERG, a single woman,

a municipal corporation, to the following described parcel:
Lot Thirty -six (36) of Block Forty -two (42) of El
Segundo Tract Sheet No. 3, as per map recorded in
Book 20, Pages 22 -23 of Maps, in the office of the
County Recorder of said County,
which deed was duly and regularly accepted by the City Council,
on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of December 11,
1940, and thereafter recorded in the office of the Recorder
of Los Angeles County, California, in Book 18001 at page 361
of Official Records, on file in sbid office, on the 16th day
of December, 1940, and which said property is now in use, and
ever since its said acquisition has been in use, for City Hall,
Police Station and Fire Station site purposes;
(4) A deed from UNION DEVELOP" TT CO"TAYY, .- C., a Cali-
fornia corporation, to the CITY OF EL SEGbNDO, a municipal cor-
poration, to the following described parcel:
Lot Thirty -seven (37), Block Forty -two (42) of
E1 Segundo, Sheet No. 3, as per map recorded in
Book 20, Pages 22 and 23 of Maps in the office
of the County Recorder of said County,
which deed was duly and regularly accented by the City Council,
on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of July 24, 19409
and thereafter recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los
Angeles County, California, in Book 17744 at Page 44 of Official
Records, on file in said office, on the 2nd day of August, 1940,
and which said property is now in use, and ever since its said

in Book 20, Pages 22 and 23 of taps, in the of-
fice of the County Recorder of said County,
which deed was duly and regularly accepted by the City Coun-
cil, on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of July
24, 1940, and thereafter recorded in the office of the Re-
corder of Los Angeles County, California, in Book 17710 at
Page 170 of Official Records, on file in said office, on the
2nd day of ,ueust, 1940, and which said property is now in
use, and ever since its said acquisition has been in use,
for City Nall, Police Station and Fire Station site purposes;

California, as per map recorded in Book 20, Page 22
of Maps, in office of the County Recorder of said
County,
which deed was duly and regularly accepted by the City Coun-
cil, on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of April
9, 1941, and thereafter recorded in the office of the Recor-
der of Los :,ngeles County, California, in Book 18337 at -rage
389 of Official records, on file in said office, on the 9th
day of Mny, 1941, and which said property is now in use, and
ever since its said acquisition has been in use, for City

six nundred sixty -seven (2667), as per map recor-
ded in Book 27, Page 78 of Haps, it the office of
the County Recorder of s,.id County,
which deed was duly an(' r`,�ul,rly accepted by the City Coun-
cil, on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of Novem-
ber 29, 1939, and thereafter recorded in the office of the
Recorder of Los rngeles County, California, in Book 16962 at
Page 306 of Official Records, on file in :aid office, on the
2nd day of December, 1939, and which said property is now in
use, and ever since its said acquisition has been in use, for
public street purposes.

within the corporate limits of said City of El Segundo;
THIRD: That the s.id above described real properties
are essential to the said City for s id respective public pur-
poses, to wit: For City Hall, Police Station and Fire Station
sites and public street purposes;
FURT=?: That the City Council of s -id City of El be-
gundo does hereby petition and request the honorable Board of
Supervisors of Los Angeles County to order the cancellation of
all taxes and all assessment liens legally cancellable by the
proper County officials pursuant to section 4986 of the Revenue
and Taxation Code of the State of California, on the said above
described parcels of real property, the whole of which, as above
stated, are respectively devoted to the respective public uses
and purposes hereinabove set forth in the preamble to this reso-
lution.
FIFTH: That the City Clerk of the City of El Zegundo,
California, be and she is hereby authorized and directed to im-
mediately cause a certified copy of this resolution to be for-
warded to said honorable Board of ;supervisors of said Los
Angeles County as the petition and request of the City of E1
Segundo and of the City Council of said City for the cancella-
tion of all of said taxes and all of said assessment liens so
legally cancellable; and
SIXTO That said City Clerk be and Efts is hereby fur-
ther authorized and instructed to supply any further necessary

information and documents which may be required in order to
promptly and effectively procure the cancellation of the taxes
and assessment liens above referred to.
Passed, approved and adopted this 20th day of June,
1951.
