CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS CORPORATION THE CON-
TRACT OR ORDER FOR FJRNISHING SAID CITY
WITH ONE TRACTOR 1107NTED TRENCHING PUCHINE,
HIGHLIFT AND ANGLE DOZER AND CERTAIN AP-
PURTMTANT EQUIPT"ENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, has heretofore in the manner provided by law, duly
and regularly advertised for bids under notice to bidders en-
titled, "NOTICE TO BIDDERS ON TRACTOR MOUNTED TRENCHING LACHINE,
HIGHLIFE AND ANGLE DOZER ", dated November 30, 1950, which is now
on file in the office of the City Clerk, open to public inspec-
tion, and hereby referred to and by this reference incorporated
herein and made a part hereof, for furnishing said City with the
item referred to in said notice; and
h°rIEREAS, at the time for opening and considering all
of said bids, to wit: the hour of 7:00 o'clock p. m., on Wednes-
day, the 20th day of December, 1950, said Council did publicly
open, examine and declare all bids received; and after duly con-
sidering all of said bids has reached its decision in the said
matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and determine as
f ollows :
SECTION 1. That the bid of CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS COR-
PORATION, of 410 San Fernando Road, Los Angeles 31, California,
dated December 20, 1950, which said Council determines to be
substantially as follows, to wit:

Item No. 1: The undersigned bidder will furnish and de-
liver to the City of E1 Segundo the following equipment:
"One (1) Model CPC -113 Mechanically driven PROFIT TRENCHER
powered by modified Case VAI Tractor and equipped with
CPC -104 PRO-'IT LOADER, 600 x 16 -6 ply front tires and dual
10 x 24 -4 ply rear tires, side cutter extensions, S -171
Digging Wheel for 18, 20, 22 and 241, widths, complete with
one full set of Jiffy Type clay teeth, and with S -132
Loader Bucket and S -139 ANGLE DOZER, for the sum of Six
Thousand Six Hundred Ninety Dollars ($6690.00) f.o.b. El
Segundo, California, time of delivery three working days
after the receipt by us of the notice of award of contract.
If H. & L. type digging teeth desired add SEVENTY -FIVE
DOLLARS ($75.00). These prices do not include any appli-
cable city, state or federal taxes. A certificate of ex-
emption may be forwarded in lieu of the federal excise tax,
if required. This price is subject to FIVE PERCENT (5f)
discount if paid within twenty -four (24) hours after de-
livery with immediate acceptance of said equipment.
"The above quotations are based upon delivery within nine
days from this date. An additional TEN PERCENT (10 %) in-
crease over the above quotations has already been made ef-
fective on all commercial sales since December 1st, 1950.
If delivery is accepted later than December 29, 1950, the
additional 10% must be added to the above prices.
"If desired, a ten day trial period can be allowed, but the
above - mentioned cash discount will not be applicable. A
reduction in the above quotation of 1100.00 will be granted
if the Loader Bucket is not desired. We recommend however,
that its availability will save the City a great deal of
money.

and which said bid was submitted in response to and under the
terms, conditions, provisions and requirements set forth in said
"NOTICE TO BIDDERS ON TR."CTOR YOUN ^l ED TRENCHING MACHINE, HIGHLIFT
AND riVGLh DOZER ", be, and the same is hereby accepted at the price
set forth in Item No. 1 of said bid, which is now on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said City, and which said bid so on
file is hereby expressly referred to and by this reference incor-
porated herein and made a part hereof for all further particulars.

SECTION 2. That all bids received for said equipment
are hereby rejected with the exception of the bid of CONSTRUCTION
PRODUCTS CORPORATION, hereinabove referred to, and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized and instructed to return the checks of all
unsuccessful bidders.
SECTIOAi 3. That the City Council orders delivery of
said equipment, contract or order for which is hereby awarded,
which is to be made to said City on the 27th day of December, 1950,
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to prepare
and present to this Council at its regular meeting to be held on
the 27th day of December, 1950, the necessary demand and warrant
for the full amount of the purchase price of said equipment so
that payment therefor may be made immediately upon such delivery.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original
of the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the said
City of E1 Segundo, and shall make a minute of the passage and
adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City
Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the
same is passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 20th day of Decem-
ber, 1950.

I, Victor D. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City of El
Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the said City is five; that the
foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 1119, was passed and
adopted by the said City Council, approved and signed by the
Mayor of said City, and attested by the City Clerk of said City,
all at a regular meeting of the said Council held on the 20th
day of December, 1950, and that the same was so passed and
adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Gordon, Peterson, Swanson,
Thompson and Uayor Selby.
NOES: Councilmen None.
ABJENT: Councilmen None.
