RESOLUTION NO. 1112
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 1017 (THE SALARY AND
COMPENSATION RESOLUTION) OF SAID CITY BY
ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO TO BE KNOWN
AND DESIGNATED AS SECTION 15.1 RELATING
TO ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION DUE TO INCREASED
COSTS OF LIVING.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine and
order as follows:
SECTION 1. That a new section, to be known and
designated as "SECTION 15.1 ", shall be and the same is
hereby added to Resolution No. 1017 of the City Council
of the City of E1 Segundo, California, entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND ESTABLISHING
THE COMPENSATION OR PAY OF VARIOUS MUNICIPAL OFFICERS
AND EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY, AND REPEALING ALL
RESOLUTIONS AND ORDERS AND PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS
AND ORDERS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. ",
passed and adopted on the 27th day of July, 1919, as amended,
and which said new "Section 15.1" shall read as follows, to wit:
"SECTION 15.1 That notwithstanding any of the
other provisions of this Resolution, as amended, and
effective on and after the lot day of November, 1950,
the compensation hereinabove provided in this
Resolution for each of the respective officers and
employees of said City (excepting: elective officers,

as such; members of the City Planning Commission, as
such; officers and employees of the Recreation Depart-
ment, as such; the Veterans? Housing Manager, as such;
and employees serving as such on a per drill or per
call or special duty basis), shall be and the same is
hereby increased by the sum of fifteen dollars ($15.00)
per month, which said additional sum of fifteen dollars
(15.00) per month shall be payable Kith, in the same
manner and in like proportioned installments as ,the re-
spective regular salaries or compensations of such
affected officers and employees. It is provided, however,
that each employee serving on a daily basis (with the same
exceptions as stated above) shall receive, in addition to
the compensation provided for such employee immediately
prior to the taking effect of this "Section 15.1 ", the
sum of seventy cents per day for each day of service
rendered on and after said first day of November, 1950.
The additional compensation provided in this "Section
15.1" is granted and will be paid in view of increased
living costs, and the City Council reserves the right to
reduce the same at any time, in its discretion."
SECTION 2. That said Resolution No. 1017 and the
"SCHEDULE OF COMPENSATION FOR THE VARIOUS OFFICERS, DEPARTMENT
HEADS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF EL SEGDNDO, CALIFORNIA. ",
set forth therein, as amended, are hereby amended as hereinabove
in Section 1 of this Resolution set forth.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall be effective on
and after the lot day of November, 1950.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall cause the
original of the same to be entered in the book of resolutions

of the said City of El Segundo, and shall make a minute
of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the
proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the
minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and
adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 18th day of
October, 1950.

E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the whole
number of members of the City Council of the said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No.
1112, was passed and adopted by the said City Council,
approved and signed by the Mayor of said City, and at-
tested by the City Clerk of said City, all at a regular
meeting of the said Council held on the 18th day of
October, 1950, and that the same was so passed and adopted
by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gordon, Peterson, Swanson,
Thompson, and Mayor Selby.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen None,
