CC RESOLUTION 11020 RESOLUTION NO. 1102, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1095 (THE RESOLUTION FIX- ING AND LEVYING RATES OF TAXES IN AND FOR SAID CITY FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR 1950 -1951) OF SAID CITY BY AMENDING SUBDIVISIONS (1) AND (2) OF SECTION 1 OF SAID RESOLUTION NO. 1095. WHEREAS, in the transcription of Resolution No. 1095, hereinafter referred to, certain errors, hereinafter corrected, appear; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, desires that the said resolution should express the true rates of taxes in and for said City for the current fiscal year 1950 -1951 as in truth and in fact determined by said Coun- oil on and as of the date of adoption of said resolution, to wit: August 23, 1950; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, does hereby resolve, declare and determine as follows: SECTION 1. That subdivision (1) of Section 1 of Resolution No. 1095 of the City Council of the City of E1 Segun- do, California, entitled: ^A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES LEVIED IN AND FOR SAID CITY, SUFFICIENT TO RAISE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY FIXED BY THE SAID CITY COUNCIL IN ORDINANCE NO. 372 THEREOF, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 23rd DAY OF AUGUST, 1950, AND THE EXPENSE OF COLLECTION OF SAID AMOUNT, THE SAID RATES - 1 - elz C1111 HEREIN FIXED BEING THE RATES OF TABS IN AND FOR SAID CITY FOR TBE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR 1950- 1951. ", passed and adopted on the 23rd day of August, 1950, shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: " (1) In all that certain portion of said City of E1 Segundo, California, designated in Ordinance No. 152 of said City as 'Tax District No. 1,' such rates on each $100.00 of the assessed valuation of taxable property of the said portion of said City of E1 Segundo, shall be and the same are hereby fixed and established as follows: For carrying on the various departments of said City, at ------------------- - - - - -- -$1.00 For paying the bonded indebtedness of said City, at ----------------------- - - - - -- $0.195 For meeting and paying the obligations of said City to the State Employees' Retirement System under the provisions of the California State Employees' Re- tirement Act, at ------------------- - - - - -- -$0.10 For maintaining the free public library of said City, at ------------------- - - - - -- -$0.03 For meeting and paying the costs of sewerage facilities as contemplated by law, the sum of ----------------- - - - - -- -$0.15 Making the total rate hereby levied for said Tax District No. 1 ---------------- $1.475 " SECTION 2. That subdivision (2) of said Section 1 of said Resolution No. 1095 shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: " (2) That in all that certain portion of said City of E1 Segundo, California, designated in Ordi- nance No. 152 of said City as 'Tax District No. 2,' such rates on each $100.00 of the assessed valuation of taxable property of said portion of said City of El Segundo, shall be and the same are hereby fixed and established as follows: For carrying on the various departments of said City, at ------------------ - - - - -- -$1.00 - 2 - G__115 For paying the bonded indebtedness of said City, at ---------------------- - - - - -- -$0.17 For meeting and paying the obligations of said City to the State Employees' Retirement System under the provisions of the California State Employees' Retirement Act, at ----------------- - - - - -- -$0.10 For maintaining the free public library of said City, at ----------- - - - - -- -$0.03 For meeting and paying the costs of sewerage facilities as contemplated by law, the sum of ---- --- --- ---- --- -- ---- -$0.15 Making the total rate hereby levied for said Tax District No. 2 -------- - - - - -- -$1.45 " SECTION 3. That this resolution, being a resolution amending said Resolution No. 1095 and correcting clerical errors in said Resolution No. 1095, shall be effective as of, on and after the date of the adoption of said Resolution No. 1095, to wit: August 23, 1950. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the said City and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the min- utes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. Said City Clerk shall also immediately after the passage and adoption of this resolution, cause a copy thereof, duly certi- fied, to be transmitted to the Auditor of Los Angeles County, California. Said City Clerk shall also, within fifteen (15) days after the passage and adoption of this resolution, cause it to be published at least once in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly - 3 - cilpli newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated with- in said City, and which is hereby designated for that purpose. This resolution shall take effect ir.mediately. Passed, approved and adopted this 6th day of Sep- tember, 1950.
