CITY FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR 1950 -1951.
77H1S3 the City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, did, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd
day of August, 1950, duly pass and adopt an ordinance, being
Ordinance No. 372 of said City, fixing the amount of money
necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property
therein as a revenue to carry on the various departments of said
City; pay its bonded indebtedness; meet its obligations under the
California State Employees' Retirement Act; maintain the free
public library of said City; meet and pay the costs of sewerage
facilities; and fixing the amount of money necessary to be raised
by taxation upon the taxable land of "Act of 1927 Municipal Im-
provement District No. 1Y1 of said City; for the current fiscal
year 1950 -1951, at the total sum of 523,749.72;
AND, 7=AS, said Council estimates that the expense
of collecting the above amount so fixed will amount to the sum
of l 496.88;
1171), "IILREAS, it is now the duty of said City Council
to fix the respective rates of taxes necessary to be levied with
in said City in order to raise the respective amounts of money

necessary to be raised by taxation therein for the current fiscal
year 1950 -1951;
N0' "J9 TBEEEPOPaE, the City Council of the City of El Se-
gundo, California, does hereby resolve, declare and determine as
follows:
SECTION 1. That the respective rates of taxes neces-

sary to be levied upon the taxable property within the said City
of El Segundo, California, and within the respective portions of
the said City hereinafter referred to, in order to raise the a-
mounts of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon such tax-
able property for the current fiscal year 1950 -1951, as a revenue
to carry on the various departments of said City; pay its bonded
indebtedness; meet its obligations under the California State
Employees' Retivement Act; maintain the free public library of
said City; and meet and pay the costs of sewerage facilities for
said fiscal year; and in order to raise the amount of money neces-
sary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable land within "Act
of 1927 Municipal Improvement District No. 1" of said City, for
said fiscal year; and the expense of collection of said amounts
shall be and the same is hereby fixed, established and levied as
follows:
(1) In all that certain portion of said City of E1
Segundo, California, designated in Ordinance No. 152 of
said City as "Tax District No. 1,1' such rates on each
$100.00 of the assessed valuation of taxable property of
the said portion of said City of El Segundo, shall be and
the same are hereby fixed and established as follows:
For carrying on the various departments

said City as "Tax District No. 2," such rates on each $100.00
of the assessed valuation of taxable property of said portion
of said City of El Segundo, shall be and the same are hereby
fixed and established as follows:
For carrying on the various departments

(3) That in all that certain portion of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, named, designated and known as "Act
of 1924 Municipal Improvement District No. 1" of said City

the rate on each $10C.00 of the assessed valuation of tax-

edness of said "Act of 1927 Municipal Improvement District

` SSCTION 2. That "Act of 1927 Municipal Improvement
District No. 1 of the City of El Segundo, California," herein -
above referred to is that certain municipal improvement district
within said City contemplated by and described in Ordinance No.
178 of said City adopted on the 12th day of August, 1931, and
proceedings had in connection therewith, which said ordinance is
now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City and is
hereby referred to and by this reference incorporated herein and
made a part hereof for all further particulars with reference to
the said district and the extent thereof and the land included
therein.
StiC`SION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution, shall cause the same
to be entered in the book of resolutions of the said City and
shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the
records of the proceedings of the City Council of said city in
' the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adop-
ted. Said City Clerk shall also immediately after the passage
and adoption of this resolution, cause a copy thereof, duly cer-
tified, to be transmitted to the Auditor of Los Angeles County,
California.
Said City Clerk shall also, within fifteen (15) days
after the passage and adoption of this resolution, cause it to
be published at least once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly

newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated with-
in said City, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
This resolution shall take effect immediately.
Passed, approved and adopted this 23rd day of l&ugust,
