HEP.EAS, the City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, has heretofore in the manner provided by law, duly
and regularly advertised for bids under notice to bidders an-
titled 9/NOTICE TO BIDDERS ON GASOL -NI TO RE PUTMT1S7M THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CAIIFORNIAT', dated the 5th day of duly, 1950,
which is now on file in the office of the City Clerk, open to
public inspection, and hereby referred to and by this reference
incorporated herein and made a part hereof, for furnishing said
City with the items referred to in said notice; and
lA=EAS, at the time for opening and considering all
of said bids, to wit: the hour of 7:15 o'clock p.m. (Calf "ornia
Daylight Saving Time) on Wednesday, the 2nd day of August, 1950s ? said Council did publicly open, examine and declare all bids re-
ceived, and

WHEREAS) at said hour said Council did take all of said
bids under advisement until the hour of 7:15 o'clock p.m. (Cali-
fornia Daylight Saving Time) on Wednesday, the 9th day of August,
1950, and referred said bids to the City Coordinator for study
and report; and
VMRIAS, the City Clerk has reported to this Council
that he has checked all bids received for furnishing gasoline
under said notice and found that the bid of Richfield Oil Cor-
poration hereinafter referred to is the lowest regular responsible

bid on gasoline measuring up to the specifications of the City
of El Segundo referred to in said notice; and
'JSTHE 7ASY this Council approves the recommendation of
said City Coordinator, as hereinabove set forth, and has reached
its decision in the said matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and determine as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds and deter-
mines that the bid of Richfield Oil Corporation, hereinafter
referred to, is the lowest regular responsible bid received for
gasoline as specified in the City's Specifications designated
in the notice inviting bids.
SECTION 2. That the bid of RICHFI +LO OIL CORPORATION,
of 555 South Flower Street, Los Angeles, 17, California, dated
July 28, 1950, which said Council determines to be substantially
as follows, to wit:

"The undersigned hereby proposes to furnish to the City
of E1 Segundo, California, in said City during the period
Aug. 15, 1950, to and inclusive of Aug. 14, 1951, at mid-
night, the following gasoline at the prices stated in the
schedule below and all in accordance with Specifications
G.Q. -2 heretofore approved and adopted by the City Council
of said City and on file in the office of the City Clerk
of said City, as follows, to wit:

be and the same is hereby accepted as to Item No. 1 and Item No.
2, under said notice to bidders dated Tuly 5, 1950, at the re-
spective prices therefor set forth in said bid, which is now on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and which
said bid so on file is hereby elnressly referred to and by this
reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof for all
further particulars.
SECTION 3. That all bids received on Items Nos. 1 and
2 under said notice to bidders, with the exception of the said
bid of said RICHFMD OIL CORPORLTION, be and the same are here-
by rejected; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and instruc-
ted to return the checks of all unsuccessful bidders.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall prepare copies of
this resolution after the passage and adoption thereof, and shall
affix to such copies at the end thereof, after the Clerk's Cer-
tificate, forms for the approval of the successful bidder and on
the part of the said City, and such copies of this resolution,
so approved and accepted by such successful bidder and by and on
behalf of said City, shall constitute the contract for furnishing
to said City all of the respective products mentioned in said
bid, and which are to be furnished by such successful bidder pur-
suant to the award hereinabove made.
SECTION 5. That the Mayor of the City of 'El Segundo
is hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract or
agreement between said City and said successful bidder; and the
City Clerk to attest the sake; affix the City's seal thereto
and make delivery thereof in dtze course, as hereinabove awarded.
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolutions shall cause the original
of the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the said
City of BI Segundo; and shall make a minute of the passage and

adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City
Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the
same is passed and adopted.

Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the said City is five; that the
foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 1093, was passed and
adopted by the said City Council, approved and signed by the
Mayor of said City, and attested by the City Clerk of said City,
all at a regular meeting of the said Council held on the 9th day
of August, a.d., 1950, and that the same was so passed and adop-
ted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmeen Gordon, Peterson, Swanson, Thompson and
Mayor Selby.
NOES: Councilmen Novae.
ABSENT: Councilmen None.
