53, 91 RESOLUTION N0. 1076 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING "SPECIFICATIONS NO. W.B. -48 -5 AND CON- TRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TRANSMISSION MAIN FROM THE WEST BASIN FEEDER TOGETHER WITH A CONNECTION VAULT, MISCELLANEOUS STRUCTURES AND APPURTEN- ANCES.", IN CONNECTION WITH THE CON- STRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF THE MUNICIPAL WATER WORKS SYSTEM. The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, does resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION 1. That those certain specifications designated, numbered and known as "SPECIFICATIONS NO. W.B. -48 -5 AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TRANSMISSION MAIN FROM THE WEST BASIN FEEDER TOGETHER WITH A CONNECTION VAULT, MISCELLANEOUS STRUCTURES AND APPURTENANCES", presented to this Council at this meeting, be and the same are hereby approved by the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California. SECTION 2. That a full, true and correct copy of said Specifications No. W.B. -48 -5 and Contract Documents hereinabove referred to and approved in Section 1 of this resolution is hereunto attached, designated as "Exhibit A" and hereby referred to and by this reference expressly incorporated herein and made a part hereof. mediately. SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect im- SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the same - 1 - to be entered in the book of resolutions of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. The manhole pipe and rings and reinforced concrete pike shall be " furnished bV the American Pipe and Construction Co. or United Concrete Pipe Corporation,, or approved equal. The concrete manholes shall be equipped with galvanised iron ladder rungs and ctL:,' iroa street cover. The manholes and manhole rings shall be assembled as shown on the drawings and joined with cement mortar. The cement mortar shall consist of une (1) part of Portl"d cement and two (2) parts of &and. 92. W),- ce:laneous embedded Items, The Contractor shall furnish and install all the miscellaneous embedded metal parts shown or indicated on the drawing--,, or required in the finiahed work including bolts,, vent pipes and covert. lifting eyes, and ladder rungs. Pent pipes shall be galvanized standard steel pipe. A galvanized steel mushroom type hood shall be provided at the top of each vent pipe where indicated on the drawings.
