CC RESOLUTION 1062�s 4 RESOLUTION NO. 1062. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO* CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE CLOSING UP, VACATING AND ABANDONING FOR PUBLIC ALLEY PURPOSES OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PUBLIC ALLEY RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH IN BLOCK 42 OF EL SEGUNDO, AS SHOWN ON EL SEGUNDO SHEET NO. 3, RECORDED IN BOOK 20, PAGES 22 AND 23 OF MAPS, RECORDS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF SAID COUNTY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941 of the State of California" (California Streets and Highways Code, Sections 8300 to 8331, both inclusive), as amended, did heretofore at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of January, 1950, duly and regularly adopt Ordinance of Intention No. 365 of said City entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY TO CLOSE UP, VACATE AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC ALLEY PURPOSES, A CERTAIN PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PUBLIC ALLEY RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH IN BLOCK 42 OF EL SEGUND09 AS SHOWN ON EL SEGUNDO SHEET NUMBER 32 RECORDED IN BOOK 209 PAGES 22 AND 23 OF MAPS, RECORDS OF LAS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF SAID COUNTY. "; and -1- WHEREAS, in said Ordinance of Intention No. 365 said Council did call and order to be held a public hearing before said Council in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of said City, in said City, beginning at the hour of 7:30 o'clock pe a. on Wednesday, the 8th day of February, 1950, for hearing any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation; and WHEREAS, thereafter, notice of said hearing was duly and regularly published and posted, all as required in and under the provisions of said "Street Vacation Act of 1941 of the State of California "; and WHEREAS, the City Council has now conducted and com- pleted the said public hearing and has afforded any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation a full opportunity to address the City Council with reference to said proposed vacation and to present testimony to said Council, either for or against the same; and WHEREAS, at said hearing no protests or objections to said proposed vacation were filed or otherwise made or presented; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed all the evidence submitted with reference to said proposed vacation and is now prepared to make its decision and order in said matter; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, FIND, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That said City Council does hereby determine and find from all of the evidence submitted at said public hear- ing as follows: A. That the public interest and convenience require the closing up, vacating and abandoning for public alley -z. purposes of all of that certain portion of that certain public alley within said City of E1 Segundo, California, described in said Ordinance of Intention No. 365, and which is herein described as follows, to -wit: The northerly 475.00 feet of that certain public alley running North and South in Block 42 as shown on E1 Segundo Sheet No. 3, recorded in Book 20, Pages 22 and 23 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, California, and on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County. B. That the portion of said public alley herein- above and in said Ordinance of Intention No. 365 des - oribed is unnecessary for present or prospective public alley purposes. SECTION 2. That said City Council does hereby make its order and does hereby order that all of the said hereinabove described portion of said public alley hereinabove referred to and described in Section 1 of this resolution be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public alley purposes, all as contemplated in, by and under said Ordinance of Intention No. 365 adopted by said Council on said 18th day of January, 1950, which said ordinance is now on file in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said City, in said City, open to public inspection and is hereby referred to and by this reference expressly made a part hereof, for all further particulars. SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting of said Council at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall cause a certified copy of this resolution, -3- attested by the City Clerk under the seal of said City, to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, California, and to forward a like certified copy thereof to the County Surveyor of said County.
