RESOLUTION NO. 1060.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY CF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFffiiNU
IN THE MATTER OF GRADING AND PAVING A
PORTION OF INDIANA STREET

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, did on the 10th day of August , 1919, receive
a petition from the property owners for the grading and paving a
portion of Indiana Street, between Grand Avenue and Holly Avenue,
together with a plat or map showing the exterior boundaries of the
proposed assessment district for said improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reported to this City
Council that he has checked and examined the petition with the
report of owners, furnished by the Title Insurance and Trust Company,
and finds that the same represents 91.30% of all of the owners in
the area of the property subject to assessment for the proposed improve-
ment, as shown and delineated upon said plat or map attached to said
petition; and
WHEREAS, the said City Council has duly considered the
said petition and report of the City Engineer with reference to the
proposed improvement referred to in said petition.
NON, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, DOS HEREBY RESOLVE, Dom, FIND AND ORDER AS FOLLOWSt
SECTION 1. That the improvements referred to in said
petition are to be done under the provisions of the "Improvement Act
of 1911", Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California.
SECTION 2. That this City Council does hereby find and
determine that the qualified signatures to the said petition, as shown
by the report of such owners furnished by the Title Insurance and Trust
Company, represents more than sixty per cent (60%) of the total assess-
able area of the proposed district, as shown and delineated upon the
plat or map attached to said petition,

SECTION 3. That this City Council does hereby further
find and determine that the said petition for said improvements represents
all the requirements prescribed by Section 2804 of the "Special Assessment
Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 ", being
Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
and the City Council intends to meet each and every condition and make
each and every finding necessary on its part in order to permit the
proceedings for said improvements to go forward to completion, without
further reference to or application of the provisions of said Division 4
of said Streets and Highways Code,
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of
resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of the passage and
adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council
of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed
and adopted.
