RESOLUTION No. 997.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA
IN THE PAATTER OF THE PROPOSED GRADING,
PAVING AND CONSTRUCTION OF CEI +TENT CONCRETE
CURBS IN A PORTION OF EUCALYPTUS DRIVE
IN SAID CITY.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California dad, on the 23rd day of March, 1949, receive a
petition from property owners for the grading, paving and the
construction of cement concrete curbs in Eucalyptus Drive,
between Grand Avenue and E1 Segundo Boulevard, together with
a plat or map showing the exterior boundaries of the proposed
assessment district for said improvement; and
INHEREAS, the City Engineer has reported to this City
Co Lncil that, pursuant to the verifying report of the Title
Insurance and Trust Company, the said petition represents 61.28%
of the area of the property subject to assessment of the proposed
assessment district, as shown and delineated upon said plat or
map attached to said petition; and
oiI-EREAS, the said City Council has duly considered the
said pet_tion and revert of the City Engineer with reference to
the proposed improvements referred to in the said petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine, find and
order, as follows;
SECTION 1. That the improvement, referred to in said
petition, is for the grad:,ng, paving and the construction of cement
concrete curbs in that portion of Eucalyptus Drive, between Grand
Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard.

SECTION 2. That this City Council does hereby find and
datrrrmine that the qualified signators to the petition represents
all of the owners of more than sixty (601%) per cent in area of the
property subject to assessment for said proposed improvement
within the proposed assessment district, as shown and delineated
upon the plat or map attached to said petition.
SECTION 3. That this City Council does hereby further
fin(: and determine that the said petition for said improvements represents
all the requirements prescribed by Section 2804 of the "Special Assessment
Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 193111, being
Div,.--ion It of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
and the City Council in adopting this resolution intends to meet each
and every condition and to make each anc every finding necessary on
its part in order to permit the proceedings for said improvements to
go forward to completion without further reference to or application
of the provisions of said Division 4 of said Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the
book of resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of the
passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of
the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which
the same is passed and adopted.

namber of members of the City Council of the said city is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 997 ,
was duly passed and adopted by the said City Council, approved
and signed by the Mayor of said city and attested by the
City Clerk of said city, all at a regular meeting of the said
Council held on the 30th day of March, 1949, and that the same
