CC RESOLUTION 986RESOLUTION NO. 986 A RESOLUTION OF THE CTTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA IN THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF A NEW STREET THROUGH BLOCK 110, EL SEGUNDO, SHEET NO. 5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, did on the 17th day of November , 1948, receive a petition from the property owners for the opening of a new street through Block 110 of E1 Segundo, Sheet No. 5, as per map recorded in Map Book 20, Pages 114 -115, in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, together with a plat or map showing the exterior boundaries of the proposed assessment district for said opening; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reported to this City Councail that, pursuant to the verifying report of the Title Insurance and Trust Company, the said petition represents 80.285% of the total area of the proposed assessment district, as shown and delineated upon said plat or map attached to said petition; and WHEREAS, the said City Council has duly considered the said petition and the report of the City Engineer and the Tt Is Insurance and Trust Company, with reference to the sufficiency of signatures to said petition for the proposed acquisition referred to herein% NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine, find and order as follows; SECTION 1. That the improvements above referred to in said petition are the acquisition of certain real properties for the opening of a new street through Block 110 of E1 Segundo, Sheet No. 5, as per map recorded in Map Book 20, Pages 111 -115, in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, California. - 1 - SECTION 2. That said City Council does hereby find and determine that the qualified signatures to the petition represent more than sixty per cent (60%) of the total assessable area of the proposed assessment district, as shown and delineated upon the said plat or map attached to said petition. SECTION 3• That this City Council does hereby further find and determine that the said petition for said improvements of real property for the opening of a new street through said Block represents all of the requirements prescribed by Section 2804 of the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931", being Division IV of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and the City Council, in adopting this resolution intends to meet each and every condition and make each and every finding necessary on its part in order to permit the proceedings for said improvements to go forward to completion under the provisions of the "Street Opening Act of 1903 ", being Division VI of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, without further reference to or application of the provisions of said Division IV of said Street and Highways Code* SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, shall enter the same in the book of resolutions of said City, and shall make a minute of the adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
