CC RESOLUTION 1043RESOLUTION NO. 1043 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE ° CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING EMPLOYMENT OF COUNSEL FOR CONDEMNATION OF RESERVOIR SITE. ( WHEREAS, this City Council has endeavored by negotia- tion to acquire Lot 10, Block 67, Sheet No. 7 of E1 Segundo, in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 22, Pages 54 -55 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, for the construction of its water works reservoir and appurtenances thereto; and, WHEREAS, efforts to purchase said real property have been unsuccessful, and WHEREAS, it appears that action in condemnation will be required for the acquisition of said property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, as follows: That Clyde Woodworth, City Attorney, John F. Bender, Special City Attorney, and Robt. E. R osskopf, as Special Counsel, be and they are hereby employed to commence and prosecute to completion an action in the name of the City of E1 Segundo for or the purpose of acquiring for use as a water works reservoir and appurtenances thereto, the real property in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows, to wit: Lot 10, Block 67, Sheet No. 7, of E1 Segundo, as per map recorded in Book 22, Pages 54 and 55 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County. Said attorneys are authorized to prosecute such proceeding or proceedings in the proper court having jurisdiction thereof as are necessary for such acquisition; to make application to said court for an order fixing the amount of security in the way of money deposits as said court may direct, and for an order permitting 1. L_ 0 said City of El Segundo to take immediate possession and use of said lands or interests in lands for water works reservoir puryoses; to employ an appraiser or appraisers for the purpose of determining the value of said property and of testifying in court thereto; and to take such other action as may be necessary or convenient to prosecute such proceeding or proceedings to a successful conclusion. Said attorneys shall be paid reasonable compensation for their services in said matter and shall be reimbursed for necessary costs advanced in connection therewith, such compensation and reimbursement to be by warrant upon the presentation and ap- proval of itemized statements therefor.
