CC RESOLUTION 967RESOLUTION NO. 567. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN THE CITY CF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA. # # # # # # # # # # # # # WHOM, the City Council did on the 22nd day of September, 1948, adopt Resolution of Intention No. 955 for the grading, paving with plant mix materials, construction of cement concrete curbs and appurtenant work in portion of Acacia Avenue, in the City of E1 Segundo, California, and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, it is necessary that the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo ascertain and determine the general prevailing rate of wages on public works and the provisions of said Code makes it mandatory upon the awarding body of any public contract where the said body subsequently calls for bids for any public improvement, to ascertain and determine the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract, and also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft or type of workman or mechanic. NOW, THRREFaRE, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, has ascertained and does hereby determine that the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which the said work described in to be performed in the matter of certain public improvements in said Acacia Avenue, all in the City of E1 Segundo, California, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract and also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft or type of workman or mechanic, to be as follows: - 1 - CLASSIFICATION RATE PER HOUR Lagers - General or Construction $ 1.4875 Operators and Tenders of pneumatic and electric tools, vibrating machines and similar mechanical tools not separately classified herein 1.6875 Asphalt Raker and Ironer 1.6875 Fine Grader (Highway and Street Paving only) 1.5875 Guard and/or Watchman 1.4875 OPERATING ENGINEERS Air Compressor Operator 1.7875 Concrete or Asphalt Spreading, Mechanical Tamping or Finishing Machine Operator 2.0375 Motor Fatrol Operator, including any type of power blade 2.1625 Pavement Breaker Operator 1.9875 Road Oil Mixing Machine operator 2.0875 Roller operator 1.9875 Skip Loader operator - Wheel type 199125 Screed Operator 1.7875 Tow Blade or Grader Operator 1.9125 Tractor or Hi -lift Shovel Operator 2.2375 Concrete Mixer operator - Skip type 1.9125 Tractor Operator - Bulldozer, Tamper, Scraper or Drag Type Shovel or Boom attachments 2.0375 Universal Equipment Operator (Shovel, Dragline, Derrick, Derrick- Barge, Clamsbell or Crane) 2.2375 TRUCK DRIVERS Drivers of Dump Trucks of less than 4 yda. crater level 1.5625 Drivers of Dump Trucks - 4 yds but less than 8 yds water level 1.5875 Drivers of Dump Trucks -8 yds but less than 12 yds water level 1.6375 Drivers of Dump Trucks -12 yds but less than 16 yds water level 1.7125 Drivers of Trucks - Legal payload capacity less than 6 tons 1.5625 Drivers of Trucks - Legal payload capacity between 6 & 10 tons 1.5875 Drivers of Dumpster Trucks 1.9125 SKILLED CRAFT Cement er 2.1125 Carpenter 2.0375 All foremen not herein separately classified shall be paid not less than 17 -1/2 cents per hour more than the hourly rate of the highest classifi- cation over which he has supervision. Any classification omitted herein, not less than 1.4875 Provided that one and one -half (11) times the said prevailing rate of wage shall be paid for any time more than eight (8) hours during any one (1) calendar day where such work is required in cases of extra- ordinary emergencies caused by fire, flood or danger to life or property and for time on Sundays and the seven legal holidays, to -wits New Year's Day, Memorial Day,Fourth of July, Labor Day,Armistice Day,Thanksgiving and Christmas. 2 - The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of resolutions of said City, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting, at which the same is passed and adopted* PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of October 1948• Mayor the City o E1 Segundo, Califor A Ts j� �,�/ City CIe`r (SEAL) STATE OF CALIFCRNIA ) COUNTY OF LDS ANGELES) SS CITY OF EL SEGUNDO ) I, Victor D.
