1 (2)5� RESOLUTION NO. 948• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES LEVIED IN AND FOR SAID CITY, SUFFICIENT TO RAISE TEE AMOUNT OF MONEY FIXED BY THE SAID CITY COUNCIL IN ORDINANCE NO. 337 THEREOF, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 25th day OF AUGUST, A. D. 1948, AND THE EXPENSE OF COLLECTION OF SAID AMOUNT, THE SAID RATES HEREIN FIXED BEING THE RATES OF TAXES IN AND FOR SAID CITY FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR 1948 -1949. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, did, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 25th day of August, 1948, duly pass and adopt an ordinance, being Ordinance No. 337 of said city,fixing the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property therein as a revenue to carry on the various departments (including the E1 Segundo Public Library) and pay the bonded indebtedness of said city for the current fiscal year 1948 -1949; to pay the bonded indebtedness of Act of 1927 Municipal Improvement District No. 1 of said city for said current fiscal year; and to meet and pay the obligations of said city to the State Employees' Retirement System under the provisions of the California State Employees' Retirement Act, at the total sum of $344,545.43. AND, WHEREAS, said Council estimates that the expense of collecting the above amount so fixed will amount to the sum of $1,048.86. AND, WHEREAS, it is now the duty of said City Council to fix the respective rates of taxes necessary to be levied within said city in order to raise the respective amounts 1-
