CC RESOLUTION 936RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO. 936 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUND03 CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0.932. The CLty Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,, pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911 "being Parts 1, 2 and 3, Division VII of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does resolve as follows That the public interest and convenience require the work hereinafter mentioned to be done and therefore the said City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements to be made in said City, to -wits The grading, paving with plant mix material, construction of cement concrete curbs, re- construction of existing sewer manholes to grade, together with appurtenant work in connection with any and all items of improvement hereinabove mentioned in Sycamore Avenue, between Hillcrest Street and Loma Vista Street, all as more particaa- larly described in Resolution of Intention No. 932, passed and adopted by the Council of said City on the 31st day of March, 1948, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 932 and to the plans, profiles and drawings on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City of E1 Segundo, and to the specifications for the said work heretofore adopted by the said City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings and specifications heretofore approved by the City Council of said City are incorporated - 1 - . eb,5a herein and made a part hereof and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work. Said City Council has determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was in the opinion of said City Council of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of said work chargeable upon a district. For the particular description of the said district reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 932. Said City Council has determined and declared that serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of six (6 %) per cent per annum and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeeding the next October 15th following their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improve- ment Act of 1911 .." being Part 5, Division VII of the Streets and High- ways Code of the State of California, to represent each assessment of Twenty -five ($25.00) Dollars or more remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of the warrant. All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 .," being Parts 1., 2 and 3 of Division VII of the Streets and Highways Code. The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to post con- spicuously for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the said City Cobncil, in the manner and form required by said Code,, a Notice inviting sealed proposalsor bids for doing the work herein ordered, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the "E1 Segundo - 2 - Herald," a weekly newspaper, published and circulated in said City and hereby designated by said City Council for that purpose, a Notice Inviting such proposals or bids for doing the said work and referring to the specifications on file. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adop- tion of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of resolu- tions of said City, and shall make a minute of the passage and adop- tion thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
