Tile City Council of the City of El Segundo pursuant to the
provisions of the "Improvement Act of 19111" being Division VII of the
Streets and AiShways Code of the State of California, does resolve as
follows;
S:�OI'ItN 1. That the public interest and convenience require,
and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of E1 SeZundo,
CalLfornia, to order the following work to be done, to ~wit:
The grading, paving with plant mix paving material, eon -
strxction of cement concrete curbs, re- construction of existing sewer
manholes to grade and appurtenant work in connection with said items of
work; in
SYCAMORE AVENUE
between the east curb line of Hillcrest Street and the vast curb line
of Lora Vista Street.
PLANS, Pis O_ ILES, DRUMS AND SPSCIFICATIJATS
SECTION 2. All of the said work and improvement to be done,
shall be constricted upon the grades, along the liras, between the points,
of the dimens_ons, at the places and in the manner shown on the plans,
profiles and drawings for the construction of said improvements in Sycamore
Avenue, being Plan No. 480310 on file in the office of the City Engineer,
of said City, and except as otherwise provided on said plans in further
accordance with the specifications Nos. A -1941, 480301 and 480305 for
the construction of said improvements, said specifications being on file
in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and to wh ch plans, pro- -
files, drawings and specification hefetofore approved by the City Coun-
cil of the said My, reference is hereby made for a further, full and

more particular description of the said iwork, and br reference thereto
the same are incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
DESCRIPTION Or ASSESSIM11T DISTRICT
SECTION 3. That the said contemplated work and improve-
ment, in the opinion of the said City Co�incil, is of more than local
or ordinary public benefit, and tree said City Council hereby makes the
expenses of the said work and imnrovement chargeable upon a district,
which said district the said City Council hereby ceclares to be the
district benefited by said work and improvement and to be assessed to
nay the costs and expenses thereof, and which district is described
acc follows:
All that certain territory of the City of E1 Segundo, Califor-
nia, exclusive of streets and alleys, included within the exterior
boun6ary line shown upon that certain dap or Plat No. 471208, hereto-
fore approved by the City Council of said City on the 31st day of
March , 1948, indicating by said boundary line the extent
of the territory included within the proposed assessment district, and
which map or plat is on file in the of-,ice of the City Engineer, of the
said City. Reference is hereby made to said map or plat for a further,
full and more particular description of the said assessment district, and
the said map or plat so on file shall Zovern for all details as to the
extent of the said assessment district.
DESCRIPTION OF PONDS
SECTION 4. That serial bonds bearin, interest at the rate
of six (6n) per cent per annum shall be issued to represent each assess-
ment of Twenty -five Dollars (��25.00) or more, remaining unpaid for
thirty (30) days after the date o.0 the warrant. S -id serial bonds shall
extend ov,r a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January
next succeedin;; the next Octobcr fifteenth following their date.

Payments on the principal of unpaid assessments and interest thereon
shall be made by property owners to the City Treasurer, and the same
shall be disbursed by said City Treasurer, all as provided in the
"Improvement Act of 1911,11 hereinafter referred to.
TIME AAD PLACE OF H ARING
SECTION 5. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on the 28th
day of April , 1948, at the hour of eight (8;00) otclock
P. V. in the Council Chamber of the City Council, in the City Hall of
said Czty of E1 Segundo, any and all persons having any objections
to the proposed work or improvement, or to the extent of the assess-
ment district, or to the proposed grades, may appear and show cause
why said work should not be done or carried out in accordance with
this Resolution of Intention. Protests must be in writing and must
be delivered to the City Clerk prior to the time set for the hearing.

SECTION 6. That all of the work herein proposed shall
be done and carried through in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature
of the State of California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911,11
being Division VII of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California.
PUBLICATION OF RESOU3TION OF IITENTION
SECTION 7. The "El Segundo Herald,11 a weekly newspaper,
printed, published and of general circulation in the City of E1 Segundo,
California, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which this Reso-
lution of Intention shall be published by the City Clerk, in the
manner and form provided by law, and For making all other publications
in the proceedings under this Resolution of Intention.
The City Clerk is directed to mail Notices of the adoption
of this Resolution of Intention to all persons owning real property
to oe assessed whose names and audresses appear on the last equalized

assessment roll for City Taxes, all in the manner and form provided
for under Sections 5070, 5194 and 5195 of the said "In- rovement Act
of 1911,11 of said Streets and Highways Code.
POSTING OF NOTICE OF LJPIcOVE11 NT
SECTION 8. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of
E1 Segundo, shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of
said contemplated work or improvement and along all open streets with-
in the district liable to be assessed for said work, Notices of the
passage of this Resolution of. Intentions in the time, form and manner
provided by said Code,
SECTION 9. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the
book of resolutions of said City, and shall make a minute of the
passage and adoption thereof in the recores of the proceedings of the
City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the
same is passed and adopted,
