CC RESOLUTION 912RESOLUTION NO. 912_ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 871 OF SAID COUNCIL, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 11TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1947, BY AMENDING SUBDIVISION 7 (RELATING TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT) OF THE "SCHEDULE OF COMPENSATION FOR THE VARIOUS OFFICERS, DEPARTMENT HEADS, AND EMPLOYM OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA ", SET FORTH IN SECTION 1 OF SAID RESOLUTION NO. 871. The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, does hereby resolve, declare and determine as follows: SECTION 1. That Subdivision 7 of the "S_CHEDULE OF COMPENSATION FOR THE VARI'ZS OFFICERS, DEPARTMENT HEADS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA. ", set forth in Section 1 of said Resolution No. 871, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION OR PAY OF VARIOUS MUNICIPAL OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY, AND REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS AND ORDERS AND PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS AND ORDERS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. ", passed and adopted on the 11th day of February, A. D., 1947, as amended to date, be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "Subdivision 7. FIRE DEPARTMENT: I. REGULAR OFFICERS AND MEMBERS. (A) Chief (regular), full time, $350.00 per month. (B) Captains (regular), full time, each $280.00 s per month. (C) Engineers (regular), full time, each $240.00 per month for the first year of service; 1- $250.00 per month for the second year of service; and $260.00 per month for the third and all subsequent years of service. (D) Hosemen (regular), full time, each, the sum of $220.00 per month for the first year of service; $230.00 per month for the second year of service; and $240.00 per month for the third and all subsequent years of service. II. VOLUNTEER OFFICERS AND MEMBERS. (A) Advisory Chief (volunteer), $25.00 per month, and in addition thereto the sum of $3.50 per drill, not to exceed two drills per month. (B) First Assistant Chief (volunteer), M.00 per month, and in addition thereto the sum of (x3.50 per drill, not to exceed two drills per month. (C) Second Assistant Chief (volunteer), $4.75 per drill, not to exceed two drills per month. (D) Captains (volunteer), each $4.75 per drill, not to exceed two drills per month. (E) First Lieutenants (volunteer), each $4.75 per drill, not to exceed two drills per month. (F) Ho semen (volunteer), each, $3.50 per drill, not to exceed two drills per month. (B) Fire Engine Drivers (volunteer) on special duty, each, the sum of $1.00 per hour for time actually spent on such special duty. The Chief (regular) shall be in charge and command of the department, and shall have jurisdiction to direct and make 2- provisions for the organization and proper and efficient functioning of the department, and all of the members thereof, both regular and volunteer. He shall prescribe the order of rank in which the command shall descend in the event of his absence or inability to act personally. SECTION 2. That said Subdivision 7 of said Schedule, set forth in said Resolution No. 871, as amended, is hereby amended as hereinabove in Section 1 of this resolution set forth. SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect �Tpe F and be in full force on and after the 16th day of December, 1947. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original of the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the said City of El Segundo, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said city, in the minutes ar the meeting at which the same 1s passed and adopted. D., 1947, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Baker, Peterson, Skelley, Thompson and Mayor Selby; NOES: Councilmen None; ABSENT: Councilmen None.
