CC RESOLUTION 869RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0, 869. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF SAID COUNCIL TO CLOSE UP, VACATE AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC ALLEY PURPOSES, TnAT CERTAIN PUBLIC ALLEY RUNNING NORTHERLY AND SOUTHERLY IN BLOCK 34, WITHIN SAID CITY. 'rho City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and determine as follows: SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require that there be closed up, vacated and abandoned for public alley purposes, and the said City Council does hereby declare its intention to close up, vacate and abandon for public alley purposes, that certain public alley running northerly and southerly in Block 34, within the said City of E1 Segundo, California, described as follows, to -wit: All of that public alley in Block 34 in the City of E1 Segundo, California, beginning at the southerly line of Holly Avenue and extending southerlyy a distance of 164.36 feet, as shown on E1 Segundo Sheet No. 7, recorded in Book 22, Pages 54 and 55 of Nape, records of Los Angeles County, California, and on file in the office of the County Recorder of said county. It is hereby declared to be the purpose and Inten- tion of the said City Council by these proceedings to vacate and abandon for public alley purposes, all of said hereinabove described public alley. SECTION 2. That the exterior boundary lines of the district to be affected by said work or improvement and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, if any, are hereby described as follows: All of that portion of the City of E1 Segundo, California, included within the following described exterior boundary line, to -wit: I. V Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot 5, Block 34, as shown on E1 Segundo Sheet No. 7, recorded in Book 22, Pages 54 and 55 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, California, and on file in the office of the County Recorder of said county; thence northerly along the westerly line of Block 34 to the Northwesterly corner of Lot 1 in said Block 34, recorded and on file as aforesaid; thence easterly along the northerly line of Block 34 and across the inter- vening alley to the northeasterly corner of Lot 13 in said Block 34, recorded and on file as aforesaid; thence southerly along the easterly line of Block 34 to the southeasterly corner of Lot 7 in said Block 34, recorded and on file as aforesaid; thence westerly along the southerly line of Block 34 to the point of beginning. There is excepted from the above district all portions of all public streets and alleys, included within the above described boundaries of said district. SECTION 3. That the Street Superintendent of the said City of E1 Segundo, California, is hereby directed to cause notices of the passage of this resolution to be posted in the places, in the manner and within the time required by law, and also to cause a notice similar in substance to be published as required by law, in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated within the said City of El Segundo, which said "E1 Segundo Herald" is hereby designated as the newspaper in which said notice shall be published. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. 2- Passed, approved and adopted this 5th day of February. , A• D., 1947. D., 1947, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Baker, Peterson, Skelley, Thompson and Vavor Selby.
