RESOLUTION N0. 861.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF Tah:
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING
TO ROSCOE MOSS COMPANY THE CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTING AND COMPLETING WATER WELLS
NOS. 11 AND 12 IN AND FOR SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
Celifornia, has heretofore advertised for bids for the con-.
struction and completion of two certain water wells in and
for said city;
AND, WHEREAS, at the time fixed for opening and
considering said bids, to -wit: the hour of 7:15 o'clock p, m.,
on Wednesday, the 20th day of November, 1946, said Council
did Tiubliely open, examine and declare the one bid received
and has reached its decision in the said matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and determine
as follows:
SECTION 1. That the contract for the construction
and completion of two water wells for said city, to be desig-
nated as "Well No. 11" and "Well No. 1211, be and the same is
hereby awarded to ROSCCE MOSS CO1hPANY, of Los Angeles, Cali-
fornia, under and pursuant to the terms and conditions and at
the price stated in their bid for said work, on file in the
office of the City Clerk, to which said bid so on file as
aforesaid reference is hereby expressly made, and the said
bid is by this reference hereby incorporated herein and made
a part hereof.
SEC`T'ION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause
the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the
City of E1 Segundo, California, and shall make a minute of
the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the

proceedings of the City Council of said city in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 20th day of
November, A. D., 1946.

I, Victor D. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the whole
number of members of the City Council of the said city is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being; Resolution No.
861, was duly passed and adopted by the said City Council,
approved and signed by the Mayor of said city and attested
by the City Clerk of said city, all at a regular meeting of
the said Council held on the 20th day of November, A. D. 1946,
and than the same was so passed and adopted by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmen Baker, Peterson, Skelley, Thompson and
mayor Selby;
NOES: Councilmen None;
AbUrcr: Councilmen None.
