CC RESOLUTION 847!S. A; RESO LLTION NO, 847 Ri�,SOLu' ION OF' THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF' EL SEGLRDO, CALIFORaIA, ACCEPTING THE CASH BID OF S. N. BAILEY FOR CERTAIN CITY UITED REAL PROPERTY. N "EREAS, the City of El Segundo, California, nas hereto- fore instituted and is now prosecutin` a general comprerensive program for the restoration of tax deeded properties within said City to a tax psyirr, oasis; and W_,EREAS, pursuant to said procedure as so established, said Council has caused to be Liven and published a notice of intention to sell tr.e interest of said City in certain of such tax deeded parcels, w'.ich said notice is desiLre ted as "Notice No. Seven of Intention to Sell City of E1 Se &undo Owned Real Property and Inviting ?aids or Offers Therefor. ", and wnicn said notice was duly phblished in the El Segundo herald in the issues of Octoner 25th, November lst and 8th, 1945; and W`3EREAS, responsive to said notice the bid hereinafter described was filed, and has been duly considered by this Council; and N EREAS, this Council has reached a decision with reference to the sale of said property; NOW, TTi- ERr,FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T'hE CITY COUKCIL OF THE CITYAF EL SEC -11WO as follows: First: That the particular property which is the subject of this resolution and the sale here in contemplated, is located in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, and is described as follows, to -wit: Lots 22 and 23, Block 8, El Segundo, as per map recorded in Book 18, Pa e E9 of maps, Records of Los Angeles County. Second: That t.ie bid of Willard I . Bailey and Helen E. Bailey, husband and wife, as joint tenants, nereinafter called the purchasers, to purchase said property by quitclaim goad from the City of El Segundo for the sum of 4250.00 each parcel, or a total of X500.00 cash, be and t'�e same is hereby accepted, 1. r H 18,3-4 Third: That the said acceptance of said bid and the sale herein made by virtue of this aeeeptaneethereof are so accepted and made subject to t'na terns and c.nditions of said "Notice Vo. Seven of Intention to Sell City of El Segundo Owned Real Property and Inviting Bids or Offers Therefor." Fourth; That the Mayor of the City of El Segundo is hereby authorized and instructed to execute, in t.ne name of said City and on its behalf, a quitclaim deed of said real property to said urchasers, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to attest the same ana affix the corporate seal of said City thereto, and to delver said deed to said purchasers. Fiftb: That the bid of said purchasers, hereinabove referred to be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and said bid and said "Notice Yo. Seven of Intention to Sell City of El Segundo Owned Real Property and Invlting Bids or Offers I'herefor.'�, are nerehy referred to and by this reference expressly incorporated herein and made a part nereof. Sixth: That the City Clerz snall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original of the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of said City of E1 Segundo, and st;sll make 4(ninute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in t'ne minutes of the meetin.; at which the same is passed and adopted.
