RESOLUTION NO. 846
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXI14G
THE RATES OF TAXES LEVIED IN AND FOR SAID
CITY, SUFFICIENT TO RAISE THE AMOUNT OF
MONEY FIXED BY THE SAID CITY COUNCIL IN
ORDINANCE NO. 301 THEREOF, PASSED AND
ADOPTED ON THE 20TH DAY OF AUGUST, A. D.,
1946, AND THE EXPENSE OF COLLECTION OF
SAID AMOUNT, THE SAID RATES HEREIN FIXED
BEING THE RATES OF TAXES IN AND FOR SAID
CITY FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR 1946 -1947.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, did, at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held
on the 20th day of August, 1946, duly pass and adopt an
ordinance, being Ordinance No. 301 of said city, fixing the
amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the
taxable property therein as a revenue to carry on the various
departments (including the E1 Segundo Public Library) and pay
the bonded indebtedness of said city for the current fiscal
year 1946 -1947; to pay the bonded indebtedness of Act of
1927 Municipal Improvement District No. 1 of said City for
said current fiscal year; and to meet and pay the obligations
Of said city to the State Employees' Retirement System under
the provisions of the California State Employees' Retirement
Act, at the total sum of 0246,909.82;
A10, WHEREAS, said Council estimates that the ex..
pense of collecting the above amount so fixed will amount to
the sum of $$804.77;
AND, WHEREAS, it is now the duty of said City Council
to fix the respective rates of taxes necessary to be levied
within said city in order to raise the respective amounts of

money necessary to be raised by taxation therein for the
current fiscal year 1946 -1947;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, does hereby resolve, declare and
determine as follows:
SECTION 1. That the respective rates of taxes
necessary to be levied upon the taxable property or taxable
land (as provided by law) within the said City of E1 Segundo,
California, and within the respective portions of the said
city hereinafter referred to, in order to raise the amounts
of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon such taxable
property or taxable land (as provided by law) as a revenue
to carry on the various departments (including the E1 Segundo
Public Library), and certain districts of sucn municipal
corporation for the current fiscal year 1946 -1947; to pay
the bonded indebtedness of said city and the bonded indebted-
ness of Act of 1927 Municipal Improvement District No. 1 of
said city; and to meet and pay the obligations of said city
to the State Employees' Retirement System under the provisions
of the California State Employees' Retirement Act, referred
to herein and in said Ordinance No. 301 for said current
fiscal year; and the expense of collection of said amounts,
shall be and the same are hereby fixed, established and
levied as follows:
(1) In all that certain portion of said City of
Ei Segundo, California, designated in Ordinance No. 152 of
said city as "Tax District No. 1 ", such rates on each $10o
of the assessed valuation of taxable property of the said
portion of said City of El Segundo, shall be and the same
are hereby fixed and established as follows:
Yor carrying on the various departments of
said city (including the E1 Segundo Public

Ordinance No. 152 of said city as "Tax District No. 211,
such rates on each $100 of the assessed valuation of
taxable property of said portion of said city of
E1 Segundo, shall be and the same are hereby fixed
and established as follows:
For carrying on the various departments
of said city (including the E1 Segundo Public
Library), at . . . . One Hundred Cents 41.00
For paying the bonded indebtedness of
said city, at . . . . . . . Five Cents .05
For meeting and paying the obligations
of said city to the State Employees' Retire-
ment System under the provisions of the
California State Employees' Retirement Act,

said Tax District No. 2, -

(3) That in all that certain portion of the City
of E1 Segundo, California, named, designated and known as

city the rate on each $100 of the assessed valuation of
taxable land of said district (1n addition to the rates
hereinabove fixed and established) for paying the bonded
indebtedness of said Act of 1927 Municipal Improvement
District No. 1 of said city shall be, and the same is
hereby fixed and established at . . Twenty Eight Cents X28
SECTION 2. That "Act of 1927 Municipal Improvement
District No. 1 of the City of E1 Segundo, California ", here -
inabove referred to is that certain municipal improvement
district within said city contemplated by and described in
Ordinance No. 178 of said city adopted on the 12th day of
August, 1931, and proceedings had in connection therewith,
which said ordinance is now on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said city and is hereby referred to and by
this reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof
for all further particulars with reference to the said dis.

SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the
same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the said city,
and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof
In the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said
city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed
and adopted. Said City Clerk shall also immediately after
the passage and adoption of this resolution, cause a copy
thereof, duly certified, to be transmitted to the Auditor
Of Los Angeles County, California*
This resolution shall take effect immediately.
