CC RESOLUTION 842I v I RESOLUTION NO. 842 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA RELATIVE TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT AMID SUBMARINE OUTFACE TUBE AT HYPERION FOR THE TREATMENT OF SEWAGE ORIGINATING IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES AND ADJACENT CITIES, INCLUDING THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO. The City Council of the City of El Segundo does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, under chapter 20, Statutes of California, 56th (First Extraordinary) Session, the City of Los Angeles will submit to the State of California a project calling for allocation by the State of 50% of the cost of constructing a new Sewage Treatment Plant and submarine outfall tube at Hyperion; and WHEREAS, said project is for the treatment of sewage originating in the City of Los Angeles and adjacent cities, including the City of El Segundo pursuant to its contract with the City of Los Angeles; and WHEREAS, the money allocated to this City under said Act of the Legislature approximates $33,201.13; and WHEREAS, under the terms of judgment in that certain action in the Superior Court,of the State of California, in and for the County of Los Angeles, No. 489,890, entitled: "STATE of California vs. City of Los Angeles, at al.," the City of E1 Segundo is required to show that agreement has been reached for the financing of its proportion of the cost of said new Sewage Treatment Plant and submarine outfall tube: NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1— 1. The City of E1 Segundo does hereby assign to the City of Los Angeles the full amount or sum of money 0331201.13) allocated to the City of E1 Segundo by the Act aforesaid; for use by said assignee, City of Los Angeles, acting in behalf of the City of E1 Segundo and the other local agencies cooperating in providing funds for construction of said Sewage Treatment Plant and submarine outfall tube. 2. That on behalf of the City of E1 Segundo said City of Los Angeles be, and hereby is, authorized to prepare and present the necessary project to the State of California, as prescribed by said Act, particularly in Sections 22 and 24 thereof. 3. The City Clerk is directed to transmit certi- fied copies of this resolution, upon passage, as follows: one to the State Controller, State of California, Sacramento, California; one to the State Director of Finance, Sacramento, California; one to the State Public ; +Torks Board, Sacramento, California; one to the City of Los Angeles (attention Board of Public Works), City Hall, Los Angeles 12. 4. That this resolution shall take effect immediately. 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the pro- ceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
