A RESOLUTION OF THIS CITY COUNCIL OF TuE
CITY OF 11 SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA RELATIVE
TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MT1 SEWAGE
TREATMENT IIANT AND SUBAARINE OUTFALL
TUBE AT HYPERION FOR THE TREATMENT OF
SEIAGE ORIGINATING IN THE CITY OF LOS
ANGELES AND ADJACENT CITIES, INCLUDING
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Cite of
El Segundo, California, has received the following
communication, to -wit:

Dear Mr. McCarthy:
Your resolution under the above mentioned Act
received. '.Je note that it is your intention to assign
the full amount of the allotment made to the City of
E1 Segundo under Chapter 20 for the purpose of assisting
in the providing of funds for construction of Sewage
Treatment Plant and submarine outfall tube. In
connection with this, please note the following:
1. Chapter 20 became effective on May 21,
1946, at which date the City of E1 Segundo was
made an allotment under the Provisions of
the Act; therefore your Resolution #623 is
technically not in order, as it should be
dated on or subsequent to May 21, 1946.
Will you please have a new resolution adopted
by the City Council and at the same time
rescinding Resolution #623.
2. The total amount of the allocation made
to the City of E1 Segundo is $33,201.13
whereas the amount designated in your resolution
was 133,502.00. This latter amount was no
doubt taken from the Assembly Daily Journal of
February 16, 1946 which contained an estimated
list of allocations. the sent with the Rules
and Regulations the final list adopted by
the State Allocation Board at their first meeting,
May 21, 1946. If you do not have your copy of
this, please advise. We will gladly furnish
another.

AND, WHEREAS, this Council finds the facts to
be as set forth in said communication;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City
of E1 Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and
determine as follows:
SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 823 of the City
Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SECUNDO, CALIFORNIA RELATIVE
TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NE[rl S17JAGE
TREATPT,NT PLANT AND SUBMARINE OUTFALL
TUBE AT HYPERION FOR THE TRE4TM NT OF
SEWAGE ORIGINATING IN THE CITY OF LOS
ANGELES AND ADJACENT CITIES, INCLUDING
THE CITY OF EL SE1' =UNDO. ",
passed and adopted on the 24th day of April, A. D., 1946,
shall be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect
immediately.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause
the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of said
City and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council
of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same
is passed and adopted.

of E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the
whole number of members of the City Council of the said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being
Resolution No. 84_, was duly passed and adopted by the
said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of
said City and attested by the City Clerk of said City,
all at a regular meeting of the said Council held on the
17th day of July, A. D., 1946, and that the same was so
passed and adopted by the following vote:

Thompson and Mayor Selby,
