A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING
THE RATES OF TAXES LEVIED IN AND FOR SAID
CITY, SUFFICIENT TO RAISE THE AMOUNT OF
MONEY FIXED BY THt SAID CITY COUNCIL IN
ORDINANCE NO. 280 THEREOF, PASSED AND
ADOPTF,D ON THE 22ND DAY OF AUGUST, A. D.,
1944) AND THE EXPENSE OF COLLECTION OF
SAID AMOUNT, THE SAID RATES HEREIN FIXED
BEING THE RATES OF TAXES IN AND FOR SAID
CITY FOR THE CURRENT FI °CAL YEAR 1944 -1945.

on the 22nd day of August, 1944, duly pass and adopt an ordi-
nance, beinE Ordinance No. 280 of said city, fixinE, the amount
of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the to °able
-property therein ac a revenue to carry on the v-�ricus depart-
ments (includint; the it Be,-undo Public Library) and pay the
bonded indebtedness of said city for the current fiscal Year
19,14-1945; and to pay the bonded indebtedness of Act of 1927
Munici[)al ImproveMant District No. 1 of said city for svic
current fiFca'_ year at the total sum of . }207,102.52;
AND, 'WHEREAS, said Council estimates tl,at the expense
of collecting the above amount so fixed rill amount to tre
sum of "767.13;
AND, WHEREAS, it is now tl-e duty of said City Council
to fix the respective rates of taxes necessary to be levied
*,within said city in order to raise the respective amounts of
money necessary to be raised by taxation therein for the
current fiscal year 1949_3.945;

NCP.', THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
El Segundo, California, does hereby resolve, declare and
determine as follows:
SECTION 1. That the respective rates of taxes
necessary to be levied upon the taxable property or taxable
land (as ;provided by laic) within the said City of El Se,,undo,
California, and within the respective portions of the said
city hereinafter referred to, in order to rsiee the emounts
of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon such tax-
able property or taxable land (as provided by law) as a
revenue to carry on the various departments (including the
El Segrundo Public Library), and certain districts of such
municipal corporation for the current fiscal year 1944 -1945 ;
to pay the bonded indebtedness of said city and the bonded
indebtedness of Act of 1 027 Municipal Improvement District
No. 1 of said city referred to herein and in said Ordinance
No. 260 for said current fiscal year; and the expense of
collection of said amounts, shall be and the same are hereby
fixed, established end levied as follows:

El Segundo, California, designated in Ordinance No. 152 of
said city as "Tax District No. 111, such rates on each 4100
of the assessed valuation of taxable property of the said
portion of said City of El Segundo, shall be and the same
are hereby fixed and established as follows:
For carrying on the various departments
of said city (including the El. Segundo Public

(2) That in all that certain portion of said
City of El SeLundc, California, designated in Ordinance
No. 152 of said city as "Tax District No. 2 ", such rates
on each w100 of the assessed valuation of taxable property
of the said portion of said City of E1 Segundo, shall be

(3) That in all that certain portion of the
City of E1 Segundo, California, named, designated and known
as Act of 1927 Municipal Improvement District No. 1 of said
city the rate on each X100 of the assessed valuation of
taxable land of said district (in addition to the rates
hereinabove fixed and established) for paying the bonded
indebtedness of said Act of 1927 Municipal Improvement
District No. 1 of said city shall be, and the same is here-
by fixed and established at —

SECTION 2. That "Act of 19 ?7 Municipal Improvement
District No. 1 of the City of E1 Segundo, California",herein-
above referred to is that certain municipal improvement dis-
trict within said city contemplated by and described in
Ordinance No. 178 of said city adopted on the 12th day of
August, 1931, and proceedings had in connection therewitn,
which said ordinance is now on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said city and is hereby referred to and by
this reference inccrporated herein and made a part hereof

for all further particulars with reference to the said dis-
trict and the extent thereof and the land included therein.
SECTI3N 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adonticn of this resolution; shall cause
the some to be entered in the book of resclutions of the said
city, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council
of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same
is passed and adopted. Said City Clerk shall also immediately
after the passage and adoption of this resolution, cause a
copy thereof, duly certified, to be transmitted to the
Auditor of Los Angeles County, California.
This resclution shall take effect immediately.
Passed, approved and adopted this 22nd day of
August, A. D., 1944.

of E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the whole
number of members of the City Council of the said city is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution
No. 735, was passed and adopted by the said City Council,
approved and signed by the Mayor of said city, and attested
by the City Clerk of said city, all at an adjourned regular
meeting of the said Council held on the 22nd day of August,
A. D., 1944, and that the same was so passed and adopted by
the following vote-
