A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING
A TEMPORARY REVOCABLE PERMIT TO NATURAL
GASOLINE COMPANY TO INSTALL AND MAINTAIN
A CERTAIN NATURAL GAS LINE IN CERTAIN OF
THE PUBLIC ALLEYS AND ACROSS CERTAIN
PUBLIC STREETS WITHIN SAID CITY.
The City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, does resolve, declare and determine as follows:
SECTION 1. That the application of NATURAL
GASOLINE COMPANY, for a permit to install and maintain a
certain natural gas line in certain of the public alleys
and across certain public streets within said City of
E1 Segundo, California, to -wit:
2 Feet South of the North property line
of the Easterly and Westerly Alley in
Blocks 28, 29 and 30, commencing at the
Easterly side of Maryland Street, cross-
ing Maryland, Lomita and Sierra Streets;
thence Northerly on Penn Street 3 feet
Westerly from the Easterly curb to a
point 230 feet North of the center line
of Grand Avenue, as shown on drawing
attached to said application, -
be, and the same is hereby ordered placed on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said city for the purposes of
identification and reference.
The purpose of said natural gas line is to provide
fuel Sas for drilling Apex Petroleum Corporation, Ltd.'s
Elsie- Community No. 6 oil well.
SECTION 2. That the permit applied for in said
application hereinabove referred to in Section 1 of this
resolution, shall be and the same is hereby authorized and
granted subject to each and all of the terms, conditions and
provisions of Resolution No. 427 of said city, entitled:

RULES AND REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE FILING
AND GRANTING OF APPLICATIONS FOR TEMPORARY
PERMITS TO INSTALL, LAY, REPAIR, REMOVE OR
ABANDON PIPE LINES IN THE PUBLIC STREETS
AND PLACES OF SAID CITY. ",
passed and -adopted on the 17th day of November, 1937, and
particularly to the terms, provisions, conditions, rules and

regulations relating to LATERAL /ENCROACHMENTS, as set forth

in Subdivisions , y /of the "Rules and Regulations" contained in
Section 5 of said Resolution No. 427.
SECTION 3. That the said application hereinabove
referred to in Section 1 of this resolution, on file as
aforesaid, and the said Resolution No. 427, which is also on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said city, are hereby
referred to and by this reference expressly incorporated herein
and made a part hereof.
SECTION 4. Thet the City Clerk shall issue to the
said NATURAL GASOLINE CO.IPANY a certified copy of this resolu-
tion, and such certified copy so issued to such permittee
shall be and constitute the permit herein authorized and granted.
SECTION 5. That as provided in Section S of said
Resolution No. 127, the permit herein granted is temporary
only, and shall be revocable at any time by the City Council
of said city without notice, without cause and without
liability, and must be accepted by the said permittee accord -
tngly.
SECTION 6. That the said permit shall not become
effective until the same is accepted by the said permittee.
Said acceptance must be in writing and may be in the form
of a letter signed by such permittee, and filed with the
City Clerk, evidencing such acceptance.

SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause
the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of said
city and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City
Council of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which
the same is passed and adopted.

I, Victor D. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the whole number
of members of the City Council of the said city is five; that
the foregoing resolution, being Resoluticn No. 708, was duly
passed and adopted by the said City Council, approved and
signed by the Mayor of said city and attested by the City
Clerk of said city, all at a regular meeting; of the said
Council held on the let day of March, A. D., 1944, and that
the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Hesser, Peterson, Selby, Skelley and
Mayor Love;
NOES: Councilmen None;
ABSENT; Councilmen None.
