FffirREAS, the City of El Segundo, California, has heretofore
instituted and is now prosecuting a general comprehensive program
for the restoration of tax deeded properties within said City to
a tax paying basis;
AiiD arnEREAS, said Council has, pursuant to said procedure as
so established, caused to be given and published a notice of
intention to sell the interest of said City in certain of such tax
deeded parcels, which said notice is designated as "iaotice iNo. 31;I
of Intention to Sell City of it Segundo owned Real Property and
Inviting Bids or Offers Therefor ", and which said notice was duly
published in the �,l Segundo Herald �_n the issues of May 20th, ,,,ay 27th,
and June 3rd, 193;
AID dr_Li� ,AS, responsive to said notice the bid hereinafter
specifically mentioned for the property hereinafter described was
filed, and has been duly considered by this Council;

to tLe sale of said property;
,O,t, r7TF,Lr'OP,L', LL IT RlSOLVED BY the City Council of the City
of El Segundo, California, as follows:
First: That the particular property which is the subject of
this resolution and the sale therein contemplated, is located in the
City of El Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California and
is described as follows, to -wit:
Lot 21 in Block 22 of El Segundo, in the City of
E1 Sec,undo, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as per map recorded in Book 16 page 69 of Idaps, Records
of Los Angeles County.
Second: Tnat it would be for the best interest of said City
to accept the bid hereinafter specifically referred to in the sum
of'S,�355.00 cash for said property.
Third: 'inat the bid of harry Einstein and Thelma Einstein,
husband and wife, as joint tenants, to purchase by good and sufficient

deed with policy of title insurance from said city for the sum
of `v?355.00, to be paid at the time of delivery of such deed,
real estate commission in the sum of gr17.75 payable to Coldwell,
Banker 1 Company, be and the same is hereby accepted, and all
other bids on said property, or any part tl.creof, are hereby
rejected.
Fourth:: Tnat the said acceptance of said bid and the sale
herein made by virtue of this acceptance thereof are so accepted
and made subject to the followJng conditions:
1. The terms and conditions of said ",iotice ,o. 31': of Inten-
tion to Sell C:_ty of hl Segundo Owned Real property and Inviting
Bids or Offers Therefor ";
2. That the full purchase price for said real property to
be so conveyed, as above stated, is paid b said purchaser on or
before the 15th day of February, 1944; and
3. That unless said purchase price is so oaid by said
purchaser w_Lthin the tire hereinabove limited, then a..0 in that
event the said City at the option of the City Council thereof, shall
be relieved of its obligation co convey hereunder, and any amount
or amounts theretofore paid and deposited on said property shall
be forfeited to said City as full and liquidated damages, and
said City shall thereupon be free, without liability to said pur-
chaser, to sell said property to any other purchaser.
Fifth: That the Mayor of the City of Ll Segundo is hereby
authorized and instructed to execute, in the name of said City and on
its behalf, a quitclaim deed of said real property to said purchasers,
in form approved by the CiLy Attorney or Special City Attorney, and
the City Clerk is ciereoy authorized and instructed to attest the
same and affix the corporate seal of said City thereto, and to deliver
said deed together with policy of title insurance to said purchasers
upon receipt by said City Clerk for said City of said full purchase
price.
Sixth: That the bid of said purchaser, above referred to oe
placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and the

of E1 Segundo Owned Real Property, and Inviting Bids or Offers
Therefor ", are hereby referred to and by this reference expressly
incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
Seventh: That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; w all cause the oriLinal of the
same to be entered in the book of resolutions of said City of
El Segunao, and sr_all make a minute of tr_e passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the proceedings of the said City Council
of said City, in the minutes of the meeting, at which the same is
passed and adopted.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of
the City Council of the said City is five; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 697, was duly passed and adopted
by the said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of said
city and attested by the City Clerk of said city, all at a regular
meeting of the said Council held on the 15th day of December, A. D.,
1943, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following
vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Hesser, Peterson, Selby, Skelley and
Mayor Love.
Noes: Councilmen None.
