NIILRhAS, the City of El Segundo, California, has heretofore
instituted and is now prosecuting a general comprehensive program
for the restoration of tax deeded properties within said City to
a tax paying basis;
AivD MiLREAS, pursuant to said procedure as so established,
said Council has caused to be given and published a notice of
intention to sell the interest of said City in certain of such
tax deeded parcels, wricn said notice is designated as "Notice
ivo. 3x4 of Intention to Sell City of El Segundo owned real property
and inviting bids or offers therefor ", and which said notice was
duly published in tl.e Ll Segundo Herald in the issues of "Kay 20th,
May 27th and June 3rd, 1943;
ASD ':w,'HEREAS, responsive to said notice the bid hereinafter
specifically mentioned for the property hereinafter described was
filed, and has been duly considered by this Council;
Ai -D 'duTit;R:AS, this Council has reached a decision with reference
to the sale of said property;
hOlfi, THLRiFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of El Segundo, California, as follows:
First: That the particular property which is the subject
of this resolution and the sale therein contemplated, is located
in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
and is described as follows, to -wit:
Lot 6 of Tract i�o. 6968, in the City of E1 Segundo,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per
map recorded in Took 126, Page 87 of L4aps, in the
office of the County Recorder of said County.
Second: That the bid of Thomas C. :fall, hereinafter called the
Purchaser, dated the 15th day of 1uovember, 1943, to purchase for
Thomas C. Hall and Jewell M. Hall, husband and wife, as joint tenants,

from the City of El Segundo said property by good and sufficient
deed with policy of title insurance, showing property vested in
the City of _tl aegundo, for t he sum of :p400.00, payable in install-
ments within the time and upon the terms and conditions hereinafter
stated, be and the same is hereby accepted and all other bids on
said property, or any part thereof, are hereby rejected.
Third: That the acceptance of ssi d bid and the sale herein
made by virtue of this acceptance thereof are so accepted and made
subject to the following conditions:
1. Tk,e terms and conditions of said "notice iVo. Three M
of Intention to sell City of hl Segundo owned Real Property and
Inviting bids or Offers Therefor. ";
2. That the said purchase price for said real property
to be so conveyed as above stated is payable and shall be paid
as follows: 0100.00 upon execution and delivery of the contract
of sale hereinafter referred to and the balance of said purchase
price, together with interest on the unpaid principal amount at
the rate of 70/s per annum from date of acceptance of said bid,
principal and interest payable in installments as follows: w25.00,
or more, per month, beginning on the 17th day of December, 1943,
together with interest on the unpaid balance of such principal sum
from the last installment date, until paid in full.
Fourth: Peat the purchaser, within ten days from and after
written notice of the acceptance of his said bid hereby made, together
with notice that the said contract of sale has been prepared and
is ready to oe executed, shall execute and deliver the required
contract of sale containing the provisions in respect to payment
as above set out, and containing the further usual provisions
included in the usual form of agreement of sale and purchase as
printed by the title companies in Los An6eles County, and approved
by the City Attorney or Special City Attorney, and that if such pur-
chaser fails so to do, then and in that event the said City, at the
option of the City Council thereof, shall be relieved of its ooliga-
tion to enter into said contract of sale and to convey hereunder, and

the amounts theretofore paid or deposited on said property or
with said bid, shall be forfeited to said City as full and liqui-
dated damages and said City shall thereupon be free, without
liability to said successful bidder, to sell said property to
any other purchaser.
Fifth: That the Mayor of the City of t�1 Segundo is
hereby authorized and instructed to execute in the name of
said City and on its behalf the said contract of sale in form
approved as aforesaid, ana the City Clerk is hereby authorized
and instructed to attest the saiae and affix the corporate seal
of said City thereto and to deliver said contract of sale to
said purchaser upon receipt by said Clerk for said City of said
initial payment of ;y1 (,0.00, and the delivery to said City Clerk
for said City of a like duplicate of said Contract of Sale
executed by said purchaser; and t;-at the said Iviayor and City
Clerk are hereby further autrior -zed and instructed, upon the
payment to said City of the full sum of all amounts payable
to said City under said contract of sale to execute, attest
seal and deliver to said Thomas G. hall and Jewell ii. hall,
husband and wife, as joint tenants, a quitclaim deed of said
parcel of real property, so paid in full, to said purchaser and
to deliver said policy of title insurance showing said property
vested in the City of b-1 Segundo to said parties.
Sixth: That the bid of said purchaser, hereinabove referred
to, be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City, and the saia bits and said "Notice 1vo. 31NI of Intention to
Sell City of El Segundo Owned Heal troperty and lnviting aids or
Offers Therefor ", are hereby referred to and by this reference
expressly incorliorated herein and matte a tart hereof.
Seventh: That (,he City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution; shall cause the ori.inal of the same
to be entered in the book of resolutions of said City of L1 be�unao,
and shall make a minute of the passa e ana adoption thereof in the

records of the proceedings of the City Council of said Uity,
in the minutes of the meeting at whicn the same is passed and
adopted.
